The song I like to listen to, especially when I have a dream to achieve, a desire, is "Eu vou seguir" by Marina Elali. It sends me the message that I shouldn't wait for anything from anyone, if I want something I have to go after it, because my dreams depend on me.

@Gabriel Silva It helps me to act, focus, and stay grounded. Ah, whenever I achieve something I dreamed of, planned, and worked hard for, this song comes to mind and I sing and dance in celebration. The last achievement this year was completing the Saint James Way (Camino de Santiago de Compostela) alone, at sixty years old (starting in France and arriving in Spain) - from planning to arriving at the Cathedral. The celebration was to the sound of this song.
🎯 MINI CHALLENGE! What Do You Think of Duolingo? 🟢🦉
(Answer in your target language!) Alright everyone — HAPPY MONDAY! 😄 Today’s challenge is fun, simple, and probably controversial, haha. 👉 What do you think of Duolingo? Do you love it? Hate it? Use it every day? Tell us in your target language! I’m sure all of you know Duolingo — it’s one of the most popular language-learning apps in the world. My personal take? I use it - I find it fun! But only as one tool among many. Just like I always say: 🛠️ You can’t build a whole house with just a hammer. And you can’t reach fluency with just Duolingo. It’s a great little tool — but not the whole toolbox. 😉 Now YOUR turn! 💬 Example Prompt You Can Use in ChatGPT (Copy + paste this into AI if you want help writing your answer in your target language.) “Please write a short, natural paragraph in [TARGET LANGUAGE] explaining this idea: I like Duolingo, but I don’t think it’s enough to reach fluency. It’s a helpful tool, but you can’t build a full house with just a hammer — you need more resources.” Now it’s your turn!

I used Duolingo a lot, it was my "faithful companion," I spent hours on the app every day. It's good, but it doesn't lead to fluency, so much so that I'm still on the path to fluency. I don't have the app anymore.
🎯 MINI CHALLENGE! What Are Your GOALS for the Rest of 2025?
HAPPY FRIDAY, everyone! 😄 TGIF!!! Today’s challenge is simple but powerful: 👉 What are your GOALS for the rest of 2025? We have only 41 days left in the year — so let’s use them well! Try to write your answer in your target language. It can be one sentence, two sentences, a short paragraph — whatever you want. Don’t worry about mistakes. If you’re not comfortable writing freely yet, you can use ChatGPT or Grok to help you. The important thing is to practice. ⭐ One of my goals for this year… One of my biggest goals for the rest of 2025 is to make this community as vibrant, active, and inspiring as possible — and to help you all grow and succeed in your language-learning journey. To get us started, I asked ChatGPT to help me express that idea in Italian, Russian, and Mandarin Chinese: 🇮🇹 Italiano “Uno dei miei obiettivi per il resto del 2025 è rendere questa comunità il più viva, attiva e positiva possibile, e contribuire davvero al successo di tutti voi nel percorso di apprendimento delle lingue.” Now it’s your turn! 👇 What are your goals for the next 41 days? Write them in your target language! 🌍🔥

🎬 MINI CHALLENGE! What’s Your Favourite MOVIE?
Alright everyone… GOOD MORNING!!! 😄 Today’s challenge is simple, fun, and PERFECT for practicing your target language: 👉 What’s your favourite movie? Tell me in the language you’re learning! Try to write it on your own — don’t worry about mistakes, seriously! The goal is to practice, not to be perfect. But if you’re not comfortable writing yet, no problem: 👉 Use ChatGPT to help you (and feel free to tweak the result!). To get things started, I asked ChatGPT to introduce one of my favourite films — Midnight in Paris — in Italian, Russian, and Mandarin Chinese. Prompt used: “Introduce the movie Midnight in Paris in natural, simple Italian. Then do the same in Russian and Mandarin Chinese. Keep it friendly, short, and beginner-friendly.”

My favorite movie is Doctor Zhivago (Dr. Jivago), a classic of cinema, winner of several awards. It's a romance between a doctor and a nurse during the Russian Revolution. I like the story, the setting where it was filmed, the actors, the music (Lara's Theme).
Welcome to the Language Renaissance
If you’re reading this, congratulations — you are one of the very first members of a project I’ve been building quietly for months. Language Renaissance isn’t “another language group.”It’s a new way of learning, thinking, and connecting with the world. The idea here is simple: Learn languages using practical methods, cultural insight, and smart AI tools — inside a global, positive, inspiring community. No unnecessary complexity. No perfectionism. No endless grammar drills. The mission here is: - Learn in a real, human way - Build cultural intelligence - Develop microfluency in useful topics - Use AI to accelerate everything - Become a more connected, global, confident version of yourself Yes — we’ll focus on English, but also French, Spanish, Italian, German, and more. Everything you learn here will help you learn ANY language with more clarity, expression, confidence, and depth. Most importantly: this will be a warm, modern, fun space where you study because you want to grow — not because someone is pressuring you.
