Technology Knowledge: Both a blessing and a deterrent!
Hi, my name is Elias Camhi from Houston, TX. I have been in Real Estate for over 23 years, but before that I was a software developer for large companies. This combination of careers have been both a benefit and a deterrent at the same time. Because of my technology background, I have been very adverse to posting and making my self/life so public in Social Media and now AI. The knowledge of how data is used is something that has caused me a lot of doubt in moving forward. I am challenging myself now to get beyond this mindset and know that I can use my background to really get ahead and not hinder me in my own mindset.
What’s the sentiment out there right now?
Honestly… a lot of people know AI matters, but they’re stuck in two extremes. On one side, there’s hype. “Make a million dollars overnight.” “Replace your whole team.” “Push one button and become a genius.” On the other side, there’s fear. “I’m too late.” “I’m not techy enough.” “I’ll never catch up.” And somewhere in the middle are good people… smart people… hardworking people… who just want to know what’s real, what’s useful, and where to actually begin. If that’s you, I want to remind you of something: You do not need to master every tool. You do not need to chase every trend. You do not need to become someone else to win in this season. You need clarity. You need guidance. You need a trusted filter. The people who thrive in the AI era won’t be the ones who know every app. They’ll be the ones who learn how to think, adapt, and use the right tools in the right way. So let me ask you… How are you sifting through the noise right now? What’s been most helpful… or most overwhelming?

I have taken some online classes for AI simply to understand better how to do something. The real concern is how to actually implement AI into our business in a way that can make all of our team more effective and efficient. I can sit there and create prompts for something or other, but to actually integrate into processes, marketing and other areas of need is a completely different and confusing story. I would love to atomate comunications, marketing and other areas we are weak. Thank you for hosting this.
