What is the main difference between Skool and Udemy?
The main difference is traffic vs. community. - Udemy provides the traffic (customers find you via search), but you have no community features and don't own the customer data. - Skool requires you to bring your own traffic, but offers a rich community experience where you own 100% of the student data and revenue. Which one do you prefer?

Hey creators!
Just dropped the first Module and Lesson 1 is about Udemy as a 'search engine' for quick skills vs. Skool as a 'living room' for real transformation. Which one are you using right now, and why? I will go first: I started on Udemy as I found it better to start having no social media big cohort of followers. However, moving to Skool offers different possibilities of engagement. What´s your story? Share it here! #SkoolVsUdemy

Hi, everybody! Welcome to the community! We built this space for one reason: to cut through the noise and help you build your education business on the platform that actually makes sense for YOU. We don't do "platform wars" here. We do strategy. To get started, please introduce yourself below and answer these 3 questions: 1. What is your niche? (e.g., Python coding, Yoga, Stock Trading, guitar ...) 2. Where are you currently? (e.g., "I have 10 courses on Udemy," or "I'm just starting with an email list") 3. What is your goal for this year? (e.g., "I want to hit my first $2k month on Udemy" or "I want to migrate my top students to a Skool Mastermind") 📌 The Rule of Thumb in this Group: - Need Traffic? We talk Udemy SEO, ranking, and marketplace trends. - Need Connection/MRR? We talk Skool gamification, community, and subscriptions. - Need Both? We talk about the Hybrid Funnel. - Check out the Classroom tab to see our breakdown of the pros and cons of each platform!

@Leigh Rose Wow, nice niche. Well, even if it is not Udemy vs Skool, I can give you a mini-audit for your niche and for Systeme.io. Systeme is the best way for automation (it has everything built in already, low cost, you don´t need to bother to integrate outside apps or platforms). However, Systeme is quite "clinical" when it comes to students´experience. So, starting there but complimenting with a Skool Community might be the winning combo. So, my recommendation is: - Keep System as your "Engine": Use it for your sales pages, checkout, and email marketing. It's the most cost-effective way to own your audience. - Consider Skool for the "Experience": If you find that students in Systeme aren't finishing the course or feel "isolated," Skool is the best upgrade. You can link your Systeme checkout to Skool via Zapier. - Skip Udemy for now: It will likely add more "noise" and support tickets for very little profit, which is the opposite of your capacity-first goal. I hope it helps!

@Leigh Rose Good point. In terms of delivering course, Skool still have to upscale the game. As I understood from Skoolers community, there might be some development soon for payments.
