Hello everyone, I’ve recently taken a fresh start in my life, and I began by dividing my life into different areas like home, fitness, etc. For the home area, I had already created a routine. Earlier, my husband used to help a little, but he would often say things like “I did this, I did that, I’m doing everything.” Because of this, I used to feel a little guilty, thinking that he works at the office and also has to help at home. But today, with this fresh perspective, I realized that I was actually doing around 75% of the work, while he was doing only 25%. So today, I made a proper list of all the tasks and showed it to him. I explained that compared to me, his share was much less. Then I redistributed some of my tasks to him. Now, both of us have more time for other things, and most importantly—I have stopped feeling guilty. I also understood that we should let go of the mindset that only we can do everything perfectly and be open to sharing responsibilities. This feels like a big clarity and shift for me.
