What do YOU think ?
I started this community as a support group for anyone who struggles with emotional eating or excess weight. These are the challenges that I’m passionate about helping to solve and have become very knowledgeable about as a result of my own struggles. As you may have seen via posts and announcements, I’m playing with the idea of making Thrive a place that’s more generally about all aspects of health and wellness. The idea is to make this a place where various health and wellness experts and professionals can share master classes and we can all up our health and wellness game in a variety of areas, and discuss concepts we may disagree about, and learn and grow. But, I put the cart before the horse. It would have been good to ask before jumping in and making changes. Better late than never, so I’m asking now. Do you like the idea of sticking to the core concepts we started with…focusing on overcoming emotional eating and letting go of excess weight? Or does it excite you to have this be a group that’s more generally about health and wellness and not specifically tied to just emotional eating? Regardless of which direction we decide to go, I will still be here talking about overcoming emotional eating and letting go of the mental, emotional, and physical weight that holds us back. Vote in the poll and share your thoughts in the comments. Please and thank you 😊

How to get the most out of the Thrive Community
After a wonderful meeting with @Justin Yip yesterday, I've decided to simplify the tiers of this community a bit, to hopefully make it more clear. If you have any feedback for me about how I can make things better or more clear, or what kind of things you'd like to see offered, let me know. I always appreciate feedback, when it's given kindly! The Thrive Community exists to support members in releasing the weight that holds them back...the physical, mental, and emotional weight that keeps us from living the life of our dreams. Remember that you're an affiliate for the Thrive Community. Consider sharing your invitation link with anyone and everyone who can benefit from being a part of this community. Entrepreneurs who struggle with stress eating and food addiction are the best fit for this community. When someone you invite signs up for Standard tier, you get 13.50 every single month they're a member. Premium- you get $48.50/month When they sign up for VIP, you get $5,000 If you need help finding your invitation link, lemme know! Basically, we now have two tiers... Standard Tier- $27/ month or $197/year (which is 16/month) This is the basic level, which most members are already on. Standard Tier includes Thrive, a community in which you can finally talk about emotional eating, learn tools to nourish your nervous system, become more focused and productive, and navigate stress with ease. Also, -the 14-day Intermittent Fasting Challenge, -weekly Movies and Meditations to Thrive meeting, -live Masterclasses, -Conversations to Thrive recordings with various experts and professionals, -connecting with community members, etc. Premium Tier- $97/month, $947/year Premium includes multiple weekly meetings to get deep support in letting go of excess weight and living your best life.

Glad to lend an assist!
Why should we even consider doing a 36 hour fast?!
Isn’t that too much time without food? Yes, it WOULD be too much time without food for anyone who is malnourished, pregnant, nursing, or has certain medical conditions. It’s always important to check in with a trusted healthcare provider when embarking on something very new and different! For most of us, we have plenty of Fat reserves to support us in doing a 36 hour fast. Giving your body a chance to fast occasionally can be very healing for the body. Especially when you refuel mindfully with nutrient dense foods when you start eating again. -It helps you develop metabolic flexibility (being able to use carbs OR fat for energy), -decreases inflammation, -stimulates autophagy (clearing of diseased and damaged cells and tissues), -and much more! Watch the video below to learn more about the specific benefits of going 36 hours with no food . Share your thoughts about the video in the comments! Did anything surprise you?

Cilantro and Heavy Metals
Some people love it, some people hate it. Some say it tastes like soap. But, did you know that cilantro is a very effective detoxifier of heavy metals in the body? I'm not talkin' about heavy metal music, but just for fun, I linked a heavy metal music list, so you can think of cilantro while you listen to heavy metal music! Cilantro can actually bind to heavy metals like mercury, lead, and aluminum, that end up in our body through environmental or food exposures. These heavy metals can create unwanted symptoms like fatigue, skin conditions, and more. Cilantro binds with them and escorts them out of the body. It can be especially effective in combination with chlorella, another binding agent. You can learn more in this article. I learned about Chlorella being a binder from the awesome Food Matters Nutrition program that I’m enrolled in. The nutrition program was co-created by @Laurentine Tenbosch, and it’s one of the most interesting and enjoyable programs I’ve ever done. I’m also excited to become a certified Nutrition Practitioner when I finish the program. It sounds a little more professional than “self-professed Nutrition Nerd”, maybe? What do you think of cilantro, fellow Thriver?
