Improving efficiency and workflows
If you haven't looked into improving your workflow you're definitely missing out. There are plenty of ways to improve: Software: How do you move around an editor? Are you constantly moving your hand to your mouse and back to your keyboard? There may be a keybind you can use instead. Editors like vim or emacs are the apex of this, where you can easily edit files without using a mouse once. Hardware: How many hours have you spent typing on a keyboard? RSI is a real injury people get, if you use a keyboard daily for hours, you should look into more ergonomic layouts (e.g. Colemak, Dvorak, etc) or even a more ergonomic keyboard. While a lot of these methods will see you immediately lose productivity, if you stick at it you can regain and even improve your speeds. If you want to read how I made my own split, ergo keyboard then have a look at my blog post. =D https://ed-thomas.dev/blog/my-first-custom-keyboard/ https://www.linkedin.com/posts/edthomas87_keyboards-colemak-developertools-activity-7379527711544762369-TNs3

Strategies to deal with burnout?
Im a final year uni student, and am currently having to balance a lot of different work. Does anyone have a good strategies they can share? I have to do coursework and my diss, but don't want to give up working on my projects. Current tasks: - Find and understand paper for my diss literature review - Finish coursework about using GCP - Start algorithms coursework - Working on homelab - Teaching beginners python once a week - Apply for grad jobs - Go to lectures, make and understand notes - Complete Github foundations cert (free as a student so may as well) - Making more connections on Linkedin - Try and keep running / seeing friends 😭 It should get less busy in 2-4 weeks once coursework is in and grad jobs applications stop but its quite busy now ahahahaha.
