🧠✨ Cool technique for overthinkers from a healed overthinker
Hey guys! 🤍 I was journaling this morning and I had this realisation I wanna share with you, I can actually say that I'm no longer an overthinker. And that's a big deal for me… if I could show this version of me to my 5-years-younger self, she’d be extremely proud, because I’m not trapped in my own head anymore. Because back then? Imagine overthinking like: - spending 15 minutes writing a 2-line message to my boss (😭) - replaying conversations on loop: “did they like me… did I sound weird… why did I say that” - trying to choose one direction, opening 17 tabs, and ending up more stuck - turning small decisions (post / boundary / text) into this whole dramatic “thing” What's interesting is that “being more confident.” or "just doing the thing" never really helped me. I first had to lower the resistance I had towards that action.... and I found this wonderful technique: ✨automatic writing, aka. 🧠 brain dump because overthinking is often our brain trying to logic its way out of a feeling.Brain dump works because it gets the real sentence out — and the loop finally quiets. If that caught your attention, I really encourage you to try this today!! It does wonders! This is how: set up your timer for five minutes, 📝 Write without stopping (no deleting, no rereading)...Start with: “What I’m not admitting is…”When time’s up: underline one line that stings. That’s usually the truth. P.S.: I’m curious! where do you see your overthinking right now? 🤍 A) decisions take forever B) replaying convos / “do they like me?” C) perfectionism / “not ready yet” D) fear of the wrong choice E) other

The one sentence that stopped me from panicking in conversations 🧠
Hey guys! how are you doing? I thought I'd share a thought that crossed my mind today: Few years ago, I used to blank out in conversations way more than I wanted to admit. Someone asks me something in a meeting or an interview and my brain literally disappeared. Then I’d either start rambling to cover it up or I’d go quiet and feel stupid after, like I just handed my power away for free. So I started using one sentence that buys me a second without making me look shaky: “Give me a second — I want to answer this clearly.” That’s it. It slows the whole moment down and it brings me back into my body, and I actually get to respond like myself instead of reacting from panic. ❓Where do you blank the most—interviews, meetings, confrontation, presenting, or dealing with pushy people?

@Ahmed Dino Compeletely agree! 😍
💭 I stopped overthinking what to say by doing this one small thing
I used to replay conversations in my head before they even happened. I was trying to “pre-write” the perfect version of me, to slay the "performance" that conversations were for me at that time - nothing but performance... And then when it was time to speak? ofc my mind went blank:D. and now when I look back, what helped me in the beginning wasn’t a big confidence hack. It was this: 👉 I started giving myself permission to say one honest sentence first. Examples I actually used: - “Give me a second, I’m thinking” - “That's a great point/question, let me think about it” - “Let me say it simply” It's so cool to do this because all of sudden you feel like some pressure just went away, as if you gave yourself a permission to slow down and not perform anymore. Because finally I wasn’t trying to sound perfect anymore, but rather tried to be authentic. I'm curious! When you don’t speak up, do you just feel awkward… or do you end up regretting it for hours/days and thinking “why do I always do this?”
