Men! I just thought it would be appropriate to offer an update into what has been going on in ISI and the vision that I want all of us to share going forward as we continue to discern God's will for this group! Last Saturday we had almost 20 men show up. We even had a Father and a Son unintentionally link up and this interaction we believe led to a surrender to the Lord. Now, as far as I know and you all know that my memory is terrible but I believe that's two salvations in a row now. This is so powerful men. Please share this good news! Also, Iron Sharpens Iron was on the list of small groups presented yesterday on the big screen at Church! What does this mean? Well, hopefully it means an influx of participation Saturday mornings. So, I would plan on maybe being ready for a different format if we have say like 30 or 40 men show up. Then I would anticipate splitting up the groups after intros. This is partly why I am making this message so we can all be on the same page in making a plan for this upcoming Saturday! This kind of leads into the purpose of this message. I want to kind of lay out what we are and what we are not! What we are: A place where Men can gather and find hope. This is a sacred place where Men can leave frustrations of this world, family, job, etc. behind for a few moments and experience fellowship. Now, in doing so and providing this we have to ENSURE we are meeting men where they are at. This isn't easy as you know we all have unique needs and desires. What I have learned is to let the Holy Spirit flow, be prepared and have an agenda but be prepared to discuss a yearning or a grief. I know you all have witnessed this! I think it is that simple boys. What we are not: We are not a place where we allow a spirit of fear to dwell. We are not a place where we allow timid excuses to rule a mans life. We will not allow the enemy a foothold into our circle. We will not allow the enemy to hold a ruling dominion over a mans life wether saved or unsaved. I urge you to dig into the scripture on this because we all know what the enemy really wants and that is our God given Identity.

Men, I am inviting you personally to a weekend men's trip to Dallas Texas. We are going to a men's event hosted by Steve Weatherford and his men’s ministry, “Champions in Christ”. This is a powerful event where The Holy Spirit is present and I will guarantee you will be refreshed spiritually. This is the same event that my dad got saved at in February and it really lit a fire in me. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DETAILS Thursday Sept 25th - Sunday Sept 28th Thursday > Fly to Dallas Friday and Saturday > Event Sunday > Fly Home You won’t need to pay for the event itself because I have already done so, however you will need to cover your own flight down and lodging. Flights will be about $220 for a round trip and Lodging should be around $50-$60 per night if we do it smartly. I'm open to different options for lodging, but what we did last time was stay close to the event so we could walk to and from it in the morning! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Closing Thoughts This is for men who are serious about growing spiritually and are not afraid of challenge; because guys I’ll be honest with you; this is intense.
