Can I make an assumption?
Hey everybody! Super excited to welcome #101 and #102 into our community! Maybe if I make an assumption, I'll be an ass and the ump will shun me, but I'm just going to say it... same last name... I think we have our first husband-and-wife members! This is really exciting! The connection between food and love is powerful. Food is present in everything we do, in every big event of our lives: weddings, graduations, birthdays... Food is a uniting factor in our lives. Sharing a meal together with our partners, or even better, cooking a meal together with our partners, is an amazing way to connect through something we have to do anyway! So I'm excited to have @Rebecca Bray and @Abe Bray join our family here! Welcome!

Touristy item success!
Cinque Terres, Italy 🇮🇹 If you’ve ever been there, it’s stunningly beautiful… and crowded. Tourism at its finest. Mind you absolutely worth the trip. I bought a few touristy things - a wee dish, a print and a couple bags of herb blends for pasta. They herb blends looked kinda cool but I was skeptical. Fast forward 2 years and today I FINALLY got around to trying one of them. Super simple pasta dish - diced chicken breast, sliced onions, olive oil, parmigiano reggiano and the spice mixture. Tossed on a fine capellini pasta. It was absolutely lovely! I paired with a killer Caesar salad, (I have a wonderful recipe!) and a glass of French Bordeaux and it was wonderful. You never really know till you try something, but I’m glad I finally did.

French wine with an Italian meal? How Rude!
Guess what… I made website!
I started this project 2 months ago, wasted waaayyyyy too much time trying to wrestle tech. Today I thought I’d give it 15 more minutes - and that’s all it took!!!!! Have a look! I know I don’t need it @Tibor Spoelder 😘😘 but it only took 15 to finish and publish today and it’s totally free!! https://therelationshipchef.lovable.app

This is so cool.
Fun is one of the most important ingredients
Part of my philosophy behind helping couples connect through food, is really that we need to have fun in our lives. There’s so much going on, businesses to create, connections to be made, products to sell. But we have to have fun as well. Furthermore… We have to have fun with our partner and our families. I know a lot of you will say well my job is fun or my business is fun and I get that. But what message does it send your partner when all the fun you’re having is doing something without them? Cooking together should be fun, it should be light and engaging. You should be stepping into the kitchen with the intention of connection, but fun connection. So often cooking is a chore, but we need to make it more than that. It has a power to be something more, so let’s take advantage of it. Let’s make every moment count and have fun.

I agree. Fun is THE MOST IMPORTANT ingredient, not only in cooking, but everything in life. BTW, my family can tell the difference if the heart was not there in preparing the meal. Same recipe, different results
