Introduce yourselves
Me, I am 59 and I just started a new journey in Florida. I am from Northern NY so the weather change, well, will take some getting use to. I love to sew and quilt. My grandmother taught me when I was seven years old but I really didn't get into it until Covid. Accept for quilting that is a time I would rather forget about. Being stuck at home 24/7 I had to find a way to keep myself from going insane. So I dug out my sewing machine that I had forever and just started sewing. I couldn't believe how everything she taught me can rushing back. I am a mother of 7 children, 5 of my own and 2 step. I am also a grandmother to 10. I have been married over 27 years to my second husband. The move to Florida was his dream and my father gave us the opportunity to make that dream come true. What about all of you?

I have been all day trying to get photos from my phone to this site with no luck. I wanted to share the costume I made for my nephew. UGH.. I really don't like technology somedays..

@Tammy Chappell Oh no, I feel this so much 😅 Technology really chooses its moments to act up. Don’t worry the fact that you made a costume for your nephew is already amazing! If you want, tell us about it while you figure the upload out what theme did you go with?
Chaos
Well I need to be more consistant. I need to find at least a half hour a day to get on my computer and set up sew-a-longs. My life has been so choatic lately but I do believe that it is starting to settle down. What has your life been life lately and do you think you could find 30 minutes a day for creating?

My days have been fairly full as well, but I’ve learned that even short, focused pockets of time can be surprisingly powerful when there’s clarity around what I want to create. I do think most people can find 30 minutes a day not every day perfectly, but often enough to build momentum. Once creating becomes a rhythm again, it tends to calm life rather than compete with it.

What kind of sew-a-long would you be most excited to start with if you had those 30 minutes today?
