Curious...
has anyone used skool before? Do you like the layout? Does it feel more community based?

I'm completely new to it. I have feelings, but they're likely because I'm 48 and cranky so I'm reserving judgement for now, LOL.
Welcome Rebels!
Hey hey hey. Look who's here. I want to take a second to welcome the first round of Font-astic students into this space. You're the founding crew. The OGs. The ones who said yes before anyone else did and that means something. This is OUR rebellious creative community. A place to post your homework, share your wins, ask your dumb questions (there are no dumb questions, only dumb fonts... and we'll talk about those), and cheer each other on while we figure this whole font thing out together. You're not just students. You're the Font Whoooreeee Collective in the flesh and I am so glad you're here. Introduce yourself below. Tell us one font you love and one you're embarrassed you've used. I did a WHOLE brand campaign in 2008 with BLEEDING COWBOYS ya'll. I'm embarrassed. haha Let's go. 🖤

Welp, I'm pretty sure I'm one of Regina's first students ever, LOL. I might also be the one who prodded her to do a fonts course 😁 because there is ALWAYS something to learn about fonts. The sheer amount of time I spend teaching my clients about fonts is mind boggling. I'm happy to do it because brand is everything, but it also means I'm repeating the same foundational information over and over and sometimes it hampers my own growth in that area. It also saps my sense of artistry and I really needed a course to level up and fuel my creativity. My shame? I have a tattoo that's in Alex Brush. Alex Brush font is where fonts go to die. One of the single biggest disservices Canva does to authors and book lovers is making that font available on their platform. Actually, not going to lie, a good portion of the Canva fonts are horrifying and so dated in design world. My win? I'm not only designing covers now, I'm also designing fonts. It's by far the coolest thing I've ever done. Some people know the anatomy of the human body, I know the anatomy of letters. Letters are so much more interesting, LOL. So, I'm here to spark creativity and put my now 14K fonts in my ever-growing collection to good use. And I'm here to see how design skills in typography can apply to the fonts I'm designing.
