Here's one pattern I keep coming back to. When community builders feel like something isn't working, our instinct is almost always the same. Make more content. Add another lesson, another module, another resource. We assume that if members aren't moving, it's because we haven't given them enough, yet. But the more I watch, the more I wonder if we sometimes have it backwards. A lot of the time, maybe members don't need more content. Maybe they need more clarity. I'm starting to think members often get stuck not because they're missing information, but because they're not sure what to do next, or whether the step they're about to take is the right one. Another lesson doesn't always fix that. Sometimes I wonder if it makes it harder, because now there's even more to sort through. What if what members are really looking for is confidence? Confidence that they're on the right path. Confidence that the next small step is the right one. And if that's true, then maybe that's one of the most meaningful outcomes we can offer. Not more to know. Just a clear, confident next step. I'm still pondering this one, but it's reframed a lot for me this month. Have you noticed anything like this in your own community? Where a member didn't need more information, they just needed to know they were headed the right way?

Your thoughts set me on a different track before you hit on confidence, Donna (probably because I was thinking of my group). If I'm not sure what direction I'm hoping the ship will go, then no one knows.
Let's Welcome Elliott! 🎉
@Elliott Robertson welcome to Skoolology! 💙 We're glad you found us through the Classifieds. I love that your goal for the next 30 days is simply "clarity." That's something many community builders are chasing. Looking forward to learning from your perspective and hearing about your communities as you continue building them.
Let's Welcome Elliott! 🎉

Thank you one and all. Kind of like walking into a room and everyone surprising you with Happy B-day! (I have a Pisces sun. But still.)
📌Welcome to Skoolology!
We're so glad you're here. 👋 If you're building a community and wondering... - Why aren't my members engaging? - What should I improve first? - How do I build a community people don't want to leave? You're in the right place. Skoolology is a learning community for community builders who want to stop guessing and start improving. Together, we study what works, test ideas in real communities, and learn from each other's experiments. Before we talk about your community... Let's get to know you. 👋 Your first step takes about 10 seconds. 👇Drop ONE WORD in the comments below. It might be: • A value you live by. • A word that describes the community you're building. • Or simply a word that's meaningful to you today. We'll create something special from your word and welcome you personally. ❤️ We read every single one. Your next step When you've posted your word, head over to the next pinned post and take the 5-minute Community Snapshot. It will help you discover exactly what to improve next. Welcome! Donna & Todd Learn. Build. Lead.
