why does it feel like i keep ending up in the same place?
came back after a week offline and spent an hour just reading posts. people are shipping. full agent teams, named specialists, live clients. and i'm still on the foundation. but here's the honest version of what's actually happening. i build something. it works. then i look at it and realise it's not what i actually wanted. so i break it and start again. then halfway through the rebuild, a new idea comes in and now i don't know if i should finish what i started or pivot to the thing that's clearly better. i've rebuilt the same system three times in a month. and the worst part.. each version was better than the last. so was the rebuilding wrong? or is that just what building actually looks like before it locks in? genuinely asking because i can't tell if this is a me problem or if everyone here is quietly doing the same thing and just posting the final version.

you're doing something similar that all of use do, but the reason why output is fast and strong for some is because the planning was strong. to give you an idea of what I mean, my last build took me 6 hours, 3 of it was planning, 30min was build, the rest was bugging/refining features. so your build/debug/rebuild time might be longer because the project probably needed to have more time on strategy. depending on your project, this could look like: thinking about features, how it feels for a user to use it, longevity of the finished product, who is using it and why, how one feature communicates to another feature, how much it costs you to produce/use, stack setup, etc. I think this is why Jake talks about orchestration so much. The way I interpret that is that orchestration is putting together a solid strategy, or you're the CTO directing your employees on what to build. So maybe thinking about it in a pretend kind of way like "Alex over in front-end needs to know...." "and in order for Alex to do their job well, Jamie in DevOps needs to know..." "and Jess over in Sales had this idea, how does this impact Alex in front-end?"... hopefully that example isn't confusing.

@Apeksha Gadekar glad that helped! I know planning isnโ€™t always easy, sometimes itโ€™s nice to reach out to a friend to help you think it through. I use a chat to help me think through all the details first. Often times itโ€™s had enough context to just construct it from that first chat, but if itโ€™s a more complex build you might have to take a different approach.
From "Manual Hell" to a Global Partnership: My Meeting with the Head of AI
Today was a massive win. I had my meeting with the Head of AI for our global group, and it went beyond anything I had imagined. The Pitch: 132 Orders and a "Broken" System I had the chance to present a real-world challenge: Manually processing 132 sales orders in April. The workflow is a nightmare: Open each order, find the amount, cross-check it with an Excel sheet, invoice it, and repeat. To make it worse, there is a known bug in our D365 environment where the amount column simply shows "0" in the grid, meaning I canโ€™t just export a list. It requires manual clicks. In a busy finance department, this takes days because of constant interruptions. I presented my workflow and explained how this concept isn't just for one taskโ€”itโ€™s a framework for almost every repetitive monthly task we have. I knew from my previous Rebill Project that if I can automate the "friction," I can win back my time. The Result: Skipping the Queue When I told the Head of AI that this could turn a 3-4 day job into about 1 hour, his eyes lit up. Even though Claude Code is still stuck in corporate governance (it's currently with our CEO to decide on a global rollout), he didn't want me to wait. He immediately assigned me a Microsoft Copilot Studio license. These are highly restrictedโ€”usually, thereโ€™s a long waiting list, and if you don't use it for 30 days, you lose it. He bypassed the entire queue to get me started right away. Moving the Needle with IT To get "Copilot Cowork" talking to D365, I had to submit a technical IT ticket to enable the Model Context Protocol (MCP). I made sure to CC both the Head of AI and my own manager. The Head of AI jumped straight into the ticket with this comment: "I talked to Allan today. He has an idea to speed up a process in finance and save days of work... The use of the MCP server for this would help him very much. Open for a call if needed or any other help for the team."

Producing On-Brand Visual Content
This is for all the social media experts- What is your workflow to generate posters and creatives that stay consistent with existing brand assets? We constantly need new media for our company, including infographics, posters, new creatives, etc..

@Xephry Ng since your brand is minimalistic youโ€™ll likely be very successful with this set up. Iโ€™d absolutely try it out!

@Xephry Ng this would absolutely work for you since your design constraints are so tight. Iโ€™d try this out too!
Pitching a 4-Day-to-1-Hour Automation to our Global Head of AI
I just landed a meeting that feels both terrifying and incredibly exciting. Tomorrow, Iโ€™m sitting down with the Head of AI and Implementation for the entire global group I work forโ€”a corporation with 14,000 employees across 72 countries. The Backstory If youโ€™ve followed my previous posts, you know Iโ€™ve been fighting "manual hell" in our D365 F&O system using Claude Code and Playwright. Since those posts, Iโ€™ve evolved the concept. Itโ€™s no longer just a one-off script; itโ€™s a scalable framework that can handle almost any repetitive task in D365. The Bold Email Yesterday, I took a chance and sent a direct email to the Head of AI: "I was wondering if we will be able to use Claude Code in the near future? We have Copilot, but what about the rest? For me, this is about automating the boring, repetitive tasks in finance that a monkey could do." His response came today: "We are procuring Claude Code for developers now... Letโ€™s have a short call. My calendar is open." The "Finance Guy" Advantage My boss, who has been with the company for 15 years, is skeptical. Her experience is that "high-level" AI projects rarely trickle down to the people doing the actual work. Corporate roadmaps are often too busy with the big picture to notice the daily grind. But thatโ€™s my edge. Iโ€™m not an AI specialist looking for a problem to solve. Iโ€™m a Finance Manager who is the problem. I have the domain insight they lack. I know exactly where the work hurts because Iโ€™m the one doing it. The central AI team has a roadmap to follow, but they aren't necessarily looking at the daily operations at the bottom of the ladder. The Goal: 4 Days down to 1 Hour The project Iโ€™m presenting tomorrow is a massive upgrade of my previous work. Iโ€™m aiming to take a task that currently takes 3 to 4 days of manual labor and cut it down to 1 hour. Itโ€™s 100x more precise than my first version, and because our processes are standardized, itโ€™s scalable across all 72 countries. Iโ€™m heading into this meeting with the support of my boss and the time to make it happen.

Win! Getting the go ahead to rebuild our website
Wanted to share that today my boss came to me and asked seriously "Is this really possible?" and I was able to confidently say absolutely and we can make it whatever we want. Probably gonna be some discussions about what needs to go on the website but really happy that after last week's proof of concept website we're actually gonna move forward on our branding, nice end of the week
