I became an educator because words changed my life, and I wanted to be a bridge to that power for others who need it most. What I like about being an educator is watching confidence and curiosity spark, and students realize they’re smarter than they thought. What I absolutely HATE about the educational system is how it politicizes everything, reduces the magic of authentic learning to metrics, and forgets that our little humans aren’t data points and educators aren’t machines.
