Reactive dog NOT Improving? Missing piece that most trainers ignore
hey guys! here is a FREE (for limited time only) webinar on how you can power your training regardless of your training plan and methods you are using. Enjoy! Ps. Any questions let me know in the comments and we will do live Q&A to answer them all :) What to expect: Part 1 - Classroom: - How reactivity works and what drives reactive behaviour - Limiting factors and why you cannot ignore them. - One powerful and easy solution- you will be surprised what that is. Part 2 - Practice room - Hands on training guide packed with videos on how to power your training Part 3 What to do next? - my message to reactive dog owners and trainers - What is coming next in K4D Learning Hub.

@Nick Benger many thanks mate πŸ™ appreciate it πŸ™ It only took 4 different versions of presentation to make, 3 attempts x 2-3h to record (1st was too long-over 3hπŸ™ˆ, 2nd no video, 3rd is the one you are watching) and 2 full days to edit and take additional footage πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ so hope skoolers will like it hahhaha

Kong Hand and Focus Heelwork
I had a great question about chomping in the Kong Hand game that we use in Heelwork training. I did short video on how to resolve it and overall where we progress. Video added to the classroom in Introduction folder. I have to admit that I go through the stages 'constant food delivery' to finally 'nose touch without the food' in the movement during heelwork training. I presented it in static as it is easier to show what is happening- but that was the first time we did it this way. Normally once my dog can walk on the step 2 this is where I progress with the kong hand. ***With most dogs we don't have to get to the stage of nose touch without the food!*** we just move to the step 3. I much prefer intensity for the hand as this gives me a lot of control over the movement. eg. if my dog wants to push on the kong hand and I walk faster and raise my hand bit higher thats the recipe for more animation in the heelwork- video below.

@Monique Boucher great question- yes of course- at this step (2nd out of 7) I care about mainly about movement. there are 2 or 3 contact points (2 on the video but normally 3) but all of them are physical so the dog relies on physical contact with them at all times. In the next step (3rd) I introduce first eye contact point where the dog will know their position by using eyes. Then strait forward shoulders are much more important. In the 4th step right position of the shoulder is critical for good heelwork.
