Task1-pie practice
The charts below show the proportion of holidaymakers using four different types of accommodation in three different years. ==========[final version]========== The three pie charts illustrate the percentages of people who lived in different kinds of accommodation during holidays in 1988, 1998, and 2008. It is noticeable that staying with family was the most popular option over the three years, and its popularity declined gradually. Overall, the proportion of holidaymakers who chose(choosing)to stay with family and camp decreased during the given period, whereas the percentage of people who opted(opting) for rental apartments and hotels increased during the same period. To examine the pie charts meticulously, the percentage of people staying(who stayed) with family occupied the biggest share in these three years, with the proportion dropping from 52% in 1988 to 44% in 2008. Moreover, the share of holidaymakers who chose(choosing) to camp witnessed a significant decline by 14% between 1988 and 2008. Meanwhile, the figure for rental apartments tripled between 1988 and 2008. There was a slight increase in the proportion of people who chose(choosing) to stay at hotels, with the figure constituting 15% in 1988 and remaining at 22% in 1998 and 2008. By 2008, there was the same proportion of those living(who lived) in rental apartments and hotels at 22%.

- The figures for...: The figures for hotels... 4. 實戰應用範例 你可以看看在句子中如何切換: "Overall, while holidaymakers favored staying with family in 1988, the number of tourists opting for hotels rose. Meanwhile, vacationers who chose rental apartments tripled, making these travelers a significant group by 2008." 不要老是寫「人 (People) 增加了」,試著寫: - The proportion of... (...的比例) - The share of... (...的份額) - The percentage of... (...
