"We can't become what we need to be by remaining what we are." — Oprah Winfrey Happy Saturday! Hope you’re all having a blessed start to your weekend. This quote about growth really spoke to me today. It’s a simple and broad message, but it couldn’t be more true... not only in our businesses and creative endeavors, but in every area of life. For a piece of fruit to come from a seed, that seed first needs to be planted. It needs time, sunlight, water, nourishment, and care before it can grow into something that’s eventually ready to be picked. Think about a pear. There’s a perfect moment when it becomes ripe, juicy, and ready to eat, but the finished fruit isn’t the entire story. The process of becoming that fruit is just as important. I think the same applies to us as creators. All we really have is time and love. Love can look like the nourishment, passion, discipline, and support that help us continue growing over time. And wherever you currently are in your journey, trying something completely new, experiencing a little success, or seeing a lot of success, it’s the growth that truly defines you. Aim to become just 1% better each day and start measuring the small wins. One small win after another will eventually get you where you’re trying to go. Yesterday, I released my first digital product that I’m genuinely proud of. It isn’t technically my first product, but it’s the first one where I truly feel like I created something valuable that can save other editors time and help make their work look more premium. I haven’t made a sale yet, but releasing it is still a small win worth celebrating. I want to document that journey honestly inside this community while hopefully helping you along your own journey as well. Stability is great, but I believe maintaining that hunger to improve, learn, and create something greater is always positive.
