I was in the most confusing and unsafe period of my life. I had deleted all my old accounts, distanced myself from the mentor and community I used to be part of, and realized how much betrayal, projection, and false narratives had been put on my name AND other people's names. Even the people I genuinely cared about became difficult to stay connected with because any interaction would trigger the mentor’s toxic assumptions about me, giving them yet another excuse - like they’ve done with so many others in so many lives - to rant about me publicly. I chose a full reset instead of staying in a space where I couldn’t question anything without being attacked or turned into content for their rants. I cut the cord after my birthday - the Year of the Wood Dragon - while keeping receipts only to protect myself, since this mentor had a history of threatening legal action. Before fully closing that chapter, I tried to get as much clarity as I could because of how deeply betrayed I felt. That’s when an old memory from 2018 resurfaced - back when I had only followed this mentor for a few months, and they went on a rant about The Peace Dealer during one of their lives, accusing him of things I NOW know were completely untrue. That memory returned just as I was gathering everything for my own protection, making me realize how long those false narratives had been planted.
