On the Beach - Sheet music and video
I know it's not the most seasonal share, but it's fresh on my mind because a student was asking about it today. Thought you might also like this rare sheet music version for your collection. I've also attached Google AI's funny response. Had to laugh at myself as I was Googling for any possible link to the holidays. Long story short - couldn't find one haha!!

(Not that I’ll be attempting this piece anytime in the near future ,because I’m still on the “3 Blind mice” lesson at the end of week 4 in the foundation module, but) Is that the full PDF? It seems somewhat abridged. I tried scrolling down to see if there was more.
Niccalo Paganini
https://youtu.be/AbrB5qnI3vM?si=859g0XdU8fAXtjbe I waited till the end of the day to see if anyone else (besides me) would be aware of this and do a post and no one has so here it is. It was his birthday today. I wouldn't have bothered with this but he is, after all, the Grand Daddy of us all (metaphorically speaking) and ,well, let's face it it folks, regardless of your skill level when it gets down to it we're pretty much just a bunch of "beggars & thieves" riding his shirt tails. Fiddle on good people. ✌️🫶

@Graham Acres Yes, he was the prototype of the modern rockstars (Richie Blackmore,Yngwie Malmsteen, Jimmy Page). He was definitely a higher level virtuoso but he made it look easy. He taught violin as well (I believe he did both group classes and private tutoring). He had a gorgeous wife and one son (Atilla) and several grandkids. I hope got to enjoy them before he died (I believe from tuberculosis).

@Jenny O'Connor Yes, he’s definitely on a “higher plane” than us mere mortals.🤔 I only see super advanced level musicians incorporating his pieces into their set lists (i.e. Yngwie Malmsteen,EVH did in the Eruption solo, Itzak Perlman,Yo Yo Ma, a few classical guitar virtuosos).
Thanks Giving and Xmas songs
Hello everyone ! I’m targeting you Americans here for knowledge!!! I have been kindly invited to my American neighbours for Thanks Giving. ( First time for this and I don’t know what to expect or wear ect… all advice will be taken in ) She plays the piano ( I would say she is a pro) and wants to duet with the violin for Xmas , she is eyeing the Michael Buble stuff. I’m an introvert performer and only play with an audient ( my son), whom has no choice but to listen, haha. So I would love some song suggestions to play for these two occasions or even practice ( I’m not expected to play for Thanks giving !) All advice is appreciated !! Thank you for your time !!

"Now Thank we all" (Our God) and "Faith of Our Fathers" are the only 2 that I can think of off the top of my head.( mostly due to the Christian parochial school education i received which where I learned them).
The Foundation module
Well, I’m up to week 4 of the Foundations module (just did the 4.1 lesson on changing from the A string to E string). I’m still trying to master the Octave Frame,Joy to the World and Hot Cross Buns lessons from week 3. Lol! I don’t want to admit I’m a slow learner BUUUT…😏🤪

Thanks for the feedback!!(also not to mention the encouragement) My house is under a deep remodel so hanging it on the wall isn't currently an option . I do, however, do my lessons first thing in the morning before breakfast so that's a plus. Just some "me time" first thing in the morning. I'll just have to keep reviewing and working on the foundations lessons as i go along. there's a lot of nuances to remember so doing it right away in the morning when my mind is fresh is something i reccomend. Regarding filming myself in any capacity: Dream On. 😎☮️

I listen to the expanded edition of the soundtrack (which I created myself) quite regularly so I guess LOTM never really ends for me. Seeing Jenny as (well as the students) play is definitely inspiring me to want to the violin. ( I own 2 violins but I don’t want to give up my classical guitar studies though).

@Graham Acres Augh, I hate cars. One of my rear wheel bearings went bad 2 weeks ago. I had to pedal bike for 22 miles on a Friday night just to pick up my car from the mechanics garage.
