My name is Doug and I run a podcast/newsletter called Second Life Leader about recovering from setbacks to achieve success. Over the last 6 years, I have been through 4 layoffs, 3 failed startups, a marital separation and bankruptcy. I also have a group I'm building with the same name for men to help each other stay disciplined through the journey. What I'm looking for from this community is collaboration on going from 'zero to one' with regards to creating an engaged community.

@Daniel Flowers - Zero to one is a book published by Peter Thiel in 2014 about the process of turning nothing into something and how startups build the future. It has been folded into popular business vernacular by business thought leaders such as Alex. The community growth path has been a grind for me ... I think that is the 'tuition' for being able to implement some of the more advanced scaling methodologies. (Ex. You need to have 'something' in order to scale, and the path from Zero to Something is ALWAYS difficult)

I think it's easy to overlook the necessity of a handmade warm community before trying to scale. (The step that all the funnel bro's conveniently skip because it's manual, tedious and doesn't lend itself to $10k coaching programs)
