Don't be afraid to try new things.
I perform for both family and corporate events. I recently was asked by a regular client if I could perform a dinosaur show. At first, I said no than I talked with a few of my entertainer friends and they said why not give it a try. I started to do some research and purchase some new characters, magic tricks and now I have a real cool family fun dino show. Not only that the one client has turned into 30 new clients who wanted a dino show for their library or special event. The old saying "build it and they will come" is so true. The key is to find out what clients are looking for and fill the need. Happy Summer

Anyone Like Wooden Figures
If so, why? Why do you prefer wooden figures? I know most vents use soft puppets now but let’s hear from you.

I've always used soft puppets, but I am fascinated by the wooden characters. I'm amazed at what they can do with the wooden figures.

Funniest Story in Working With Kids
Once I did a show for kids and I before I brought out my puppets I said, “So what kind of puppeteer am I?” This little girl raised her hand and said, “I know what you are. You’re an adult!” (My mother would disagree). What are some of your fave stories?

I have a ferret named Fraidy who is afraid of EVERYTHING! During his skit I talk about how most ferrets eat certain things, but there is one ferret who does not those things, can you guess who? Fraidy. At a recent show for special needs audience I was doing this script. The next question is “do you know why?” The normal response is “because he’s afraid”. One young lady in the front row shouts out “because he’s a puppet!” I got so tickled at the unexpected response, and soon the entire audience was rolling. Yes, yes, you are definitely correct, he does not eat those things because he’s a puppet 🤣
