Running Round Up
Blimey, a lot to unpack at the minute Let's start with last weekend 16th marathon for me at the 48 (nearly 49) 3:05 after a run of two halves (or a tail and then a headwind) I am very fortunate and blessed to be able to do what I do So no crying in my coffee, but room for improvement ;) But this is not about me This is about the 3 members of my running community who ran marathons (all in Brighton) Two debuts and one aiming for a PB Neil ran a 2:57 PB and his fastest in 10 years at the age of 41 Scott ran 4:34 in his marathon debut at age 42 Ruth ran 6:30 in her marathon debut at age 54 All different and all amazing in their own right You can listen to Neil's story on my podcast this week (the link is at the bottom) We have three more in Manchester today as well The results do the talking here So, if you want to see what's possible for you? Drop me a reply and let's chat. Until next time. John Subscribe to the Podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/6ALS0DNSLMu0x8Kdi6otBj?si=5c51469479164802

Ive started a new program, working on my pace mid week and long runs on the weekend. Feeling my strength and slight weight loss paying off 😊
Finish Up Friday
I’d love to know 1) What are your key wins for this week? 2) What are you most proud of? 3) What obstacles/challenges did you overcome? Go πŸ’™

1..key wins were Thursday pace work (which is starting to feel good) with a slower run in the afternoon with my nephew. 2..im most proud of my lungs (2 years from 41 tobacco free) and my mental health, which has taken a battering for most of this year 3..I over came my inner dialogues, outside stresses that made me want to stay in bed, however I dragged my sorry ass out regardless πŸ™ƒ
One Question
What's one question you have about running that I can answer this week?

Whats your thoughts on salt and water for hydration. I saw a clip on Celtic Salt and how it aids with hydration.... do you think this would be beneficial with running ?
