1) recovery week from my half marathon, a few walks, some yoga… 2) obstacles I face are not running 😞 3) support I need is ideas to keep my recovery week a recovery week lol also trying to look at my stats, finding someone to look at them from my race and figure out what I need to improve…

I know it’s not Friday but I wanted to post after my 10k… 1) key wins for this week is I went faster than my set goal pace for my 10k! When I past the pacer for my set time I was amazed with myself, and so I pushed a little harder and past another pacer. Stayed ahead of this pacer the rest of the race! 2) I’m most proud of not giving up, starting strong with lots of motivation and continuing when motivation left and struggles began, to end stronger than before 3) an obstacle I overcame was a medical issue towards end of race, but even though the doctor that came to help me through wanted me to stop I pushed through. Another obstacle was negative self talk, when that happened I decided I was going to support others by telling them they were doing amazing and high fiving as I went by which got me out of my head made others smile and I went faster. Totally different atmosphere then smaller races and I had so much fun soaking every aspect of it in and being present and enjoying it. I may not have hit my dream goal time yet but I will continue to persevere to get there! After my race I felt empowered and cried… feeling proud of myself for leaving, healing, and moving forward from domestic violence.

1) goals for this week are trying to keep my anxiety at bay. Eek my 10k is on Sat and yes it’s only 10k but it’s more than that to me… 2) obstacles are trying to stay focused and not have negative thinking

1) goals for this week are not to stress about my two upcoming races and surgery between the two races 2) I guess the obstacle I have is that I don’t have a running community here in the states that I can meet with and relay fears and anxieties, to calm my pre race jitters…
New shoes?
Hi everyone! My race is coming up 2/3 weeks and I was gonna get some new shoes. My shoes now are 6 months old with a lot of miles on them and I’ve recently have started to get under big toe pain and heel pain. Just not sure if that’s enough time to break them in?
