🌿 You're Invited: A 10-Week Nature Connection Journey
On Monday 17th August, we'll be beginning a gentle 10-week journey back to nature, and we'd love for you to join us. 🏙️ And don't worry if you live in the middle of a city or don't have access to forests or nature trails. This journey is about your relationship with nature, not your location. You can do the activities with a single tree on your street, a local park, a houseplant, the view from your window, a picture on your wall, or even by working with the scents of nature through essential oils. We'll meet you wherever you are. Each week I will share a simple guided activity inspired by forest bathing, along with journal prompts, an intention for the week, and a space to reflect together in our community. Whether you're surrounded by native bush or living in the middle of a city, this journey is designed to help you build a deeper relationship with the natural world—right where you are. There are no deadlines, no pressure, and no experience needed. Just a willingness to slow down, observe, and see what begins to change when you spend a little intentional time with nature each week. 🌱 As a little thank you for walking the journey with us, everyone who joins in by sharing their reflections in each of the ten week's community prompts, they will go into the draw to win one of three native trees. We'll plant your tree here at Khemeia Valley on your behalf, geo tag it, send you information, photos, and a video about your tree as we help you begin your own living legacy and become part of the regeneration of this special place. If you've been longing to reconnect—with yourself, with nature, or simply with a slower way of being—we'd love to have you with us. When the journey begins, are you going to join us? 🌿 PHOTO: My two wildlings are often found lying under their favourite Ponga tree fern 💚

🌿 Your 10 Week Nature Connection Journey Starts Here
Today is the day that we begin our journey together. For everyone who would like to join me on this journey start here for the safety briefing and what to expect. If you know anyone who might enjoy this too, please share it with them so they can join in too. Once you are ready to go you can begin at Week One. And remember, all you need to do is comment in the linked posts each week and at the end of the 10 weeks you go in the draw to win one of three trees planted in your name. 🌳 I will be here every step of the way so just ask if you have any questions 👣

Somehow I missed this when you posted it, Helen! 😭 I haven’t been getting your notifications for some reason, so I’m VERY glad I found it. 😂🌿 I am following you, so I need to figure out what's going on. 🤔 I’m excited to do this with you, especially after all our conversations lately about slowing down and becoming a little more “human being” and a little less “human doing.” ❤️ Off to Week One I go. 👣🌿

🌿 Regeneration Begins Before the Day Gets Busy
For me, regeneration starts with slowing down and doing things with intention. Most mornings, I'm awake while the house is still quiet. I keep the lights low, do some gentle movement, and make myself a coffee. While my coffee is sitting in the plunger, I wrap my hands around it for a moment and intentionally fill it with love. ☕💚 It might sound like a small thing, but that's kind of the point. Before I open my computer or start thinking about everything that needs doing, I give myself time to simply be. ☕ I drink my coffee slowly and with gratitude. 🌟 I set my intentions for the day. 🤩 I visualise the things I'm working towards already coming to life. 💚 I connect with myself and consciously choose the energy I want to carry into the day. Only then do I begin my work. I think sometimes we imagine regeneration as something big — planting forests, restoring ecosystems, changing our lives. But regeneration can also begin in these tiny, intentional moments. 🌿 How we wake up. 🌿 How we nourish ourselves. 🌿 How we speak to ourselves. How we choose to enter the day. 🌱 Your invitation this week: Create your own simple morning ritual. It doesn't need to look anything like mine. Maybe it's stepping outside barefoot, stretching, sitting quietly with a cup of tea, watching the sunrise, journalling, breathing deeply or simply taking five minutes before reaching for your phone. Find something that allows you to ease into your day rather than race into it. Something that helps you feel grounded, centred and connected to yourself before the rest of the world starts asking things of you. And if you already have a morning ritual or are just creating one, I'd love to hear about it down in the comments. 🌿

@Helen Harris I love this, Helen. 😂❤️ It’s like the whole day just had a little more room in it. What I love most is that you actually noticed all of those little moments that could easily have gone unnoticed. The parking spots, no line, the timing with friends, an unexpected play date fitting perfectly. Maybe part of slowing down is simply being present enough to notice when things are flowing. 🌿 I think I’m starting to understand what you’ve been trying to teach me, my friend. 😂💚

🌿We are Growing - Please Welcome Donna Thorton
Kia ora Donna, and a very warm welcome! 💚 We are so glad you've decided to join us all the way from Kentucky, USA. My Tree Legacy is a community for people who are learning that when we regenerate the land, we regenerate life. 💚 I love what you said about "Home for me is less about the actual place these days and more about the people, the feeling of belonging, and having space to simply be myself." This is such a beautiful way to view the world. 🙌 I met Donna a couple of weeks back in her incredible community Skoology, if you have a community on here and need any support in making it something better than you could have imagined then Donna and her lovely husband Todd are your people: https://www.skool.com/skoolology/about In your own time Donna, you can have a wander through our posts and conversations. You'll find here: 🌿 Lessons from the Land 📖 Our Living Journal 🌍 Community Regeneration 🌳 Your Tree Legacy 🍃 Nature Connection 👣 Take your first small step Normally we would invite you to go and spend 10 intentional minutes out in nature and come back and share with us what you did, but seeing as we are kicking off our 10 Week Nature Communication Journey this week I will invite you there instead. Welcome, welcome—we're so excited to have you walking this journey with us. If you have any questions just ask, Helen 🌿

@Helen Harris I love that, Helen. ❤️ “Human beings, not human doings” might need to become my reminder for these next 10 weeks. 😂 I value the thought of taking a cue from nature. No rushing, no checking things off just to say they’re done, just moving with the rhythm of what’s needed. 🌿 I have a feeling I joined at exactly the right time, my new friend. ❤️
