Rest Is Part of the Walk
Scripture – Matthew 11:28 (KJV)Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Word for Today:Walking with God includes resting in Him. You do not have to carry every burden alone. God invites you to release stress, worry, and exhaustion into His care and receive His peace. Prayer Focus: Rest, peace, and release of burdens Declaration: I receive God’s rest and peace today. Reflection: What burden do you need to release to God? As I’m riding in my car going from destination to destination to pick up clients I intentionally take out time to just rest in His presence by listening to worship music and meditate on His words. I’m also singing and just resting in the knowledge of who He is to me and who I am to Him. PEACE!!
Walking by Faith, Not Feelings

Check-in: What step of faith can you take today?

I am very confident that God is calling me to trust Him more with my finances and my daily provision. I can start by taking one step of obedience by paying off a small debt in faith or helping someone in need.
Walking with God Through Healing
Scripture – Psalm 147:3 (KJV)He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. Word for Today:God walks with us through every broken place, bringing restoration and healing. Nothing in your heart is hidden from Him. As you walk with God, He gently heals what has been wounded and restores what has been lost. Prayer Focus:Emotional healing and inner restoration Declaration:God is healing my heart and restoring me as I walk with Him. Reflection:What area of your heart needs God’s healing touch? Check-in:What is one thing you are trusting God to heal or restore?

Unforgiveness is one area I need Gods healing touch in and I am trusting God to heal and restore my identity and self worth. I see Him already working but I know it’s a process.
God Desires Relationship, Not Perfection
Scripture (Micah 6:8 KJV):He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? Word for Today:God is not asking for perfection—He is inviting you into daily fellowship and obedience. Walking with God is not about getting everything right; it is about staying close to Him with a humble heart that seeks His will. Each step you take with God brings growth, grace, and transformation. Prayer Focus:Growing closer to God Declaration:I choose to walk humbly with God and grow closer to Him each day. Reflection:What helps you feel closest to God? Check-in:How is your heart today, and what is one way you will draw closer to God today?

When I’m serving others I feel closest to Him because that’s when I look most like Him. As I read the question I’m drawn to the Cereal commercial that says eat Cheerios to keep your heart healthy. I love those cereal! I see it as a concept of deciding what’s better and or best. Cheerios keep your heart healthy — God’s Word keeps your heart holy.” The best thing I did today to draw near to God was got up early to pray, I praised Him through song, and I invited Him into my day. I will continue to praise and worship Him throughout the day to keep my mind steadfast on Him.
Walking with God Begins with Trust
Scripture: Proverbs 3:5–6 - Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Word for Today: Walking with God begins when we surrender control and trust Him fully. Trust opens the door for divine direction. Prayer Focus: Trusting God with today Declaration: I trust God to lead me today. Check-In: What is one area you’re trusting God with today?

I’m trusting God to give me strength for today to make what I need to get some bills paid.

This is one of my favorite scriptures! I’m drawn to go deeper than trust. Trust says, “I believe because I’ve seen you work.” BUT Faith says, “I believe even if I don’t see anything working.” Trust still involves a measure of control — you choose to trust. You choose to surrender! That’s hard but it’s a must when you’re trying to walk in His likeness and his will. Surrender is deeper because it means you release all control. You stop trying to manage outcomes and fully yield your will, believing God’s will is best. I’m still getting there. I think that’s so because I’ve had to do it on my own my entire life. So letting go of that control has been hard and that’s why a lot of times we make bad decisions because we’re looking for that right now result. I start thinking I need to help God out but He doesn’t need my help, He’s God! I pray that God increases in me and I decrease. More of Him and less of me!!
