Weekly agenda - 2/23
Time for some accountability sht. For me... Last week was... OK. I ran an affiliate promo and tweaked around with the auction idea (the rational mind says to scrap the idea, but the irrational mind says to keep at it because really, it is the best thing ever! I'm literally lending my whole audience to someone every single week!) This week's big goal is to finish March Field Notes for Vault members. And then, try to get some people on the call with me, make a couple of lead magnets and low-ticket offers, go through Travis Sago's 24-hour auction guide (still haven't gone through it... 🙃), and maybe make some money 😌 Share yours away! 👇

This week I’m moving out of state so there’s lots of packing and then the drive… so, I’m going to be realistic. I’ll pin 3x/wk for five days. If I do more then great! If not, then it’s okay. Finish I blog post I’ve been working on. And send a newsletter linking the blog post I finish.
I love your Pinterest Course
Hi Mahila, I signed up for the Vault at the end of January, and I'm so glad I did. The Pinterest course helped me so much. It's the only time Pinterest has ever made sense to me. I took another Pinterest course with someone else a while back, and it was just too involved; it overwhelmed me, and I would just shut down. I've been consistently pinning and actually enjoy doing it.

@Maliha M I have! I’m going to focus on the SEO course next.
Last Week - This Week? (2/16-ish)
Share what you did, what worked, and what didn't work to grow your audience or income. And what are your plans for this week? We're no longer using the Money Proximity Level system, but the idea is the same... what are you doing to ACTUALLY grow... and not just waste time with busywork? Share away 👇

📌 I have been following your Pinterest course, so I updated my Pinterest cover and my about me. I have been pinning 3 times a day for about 7 days so far. ✍ As I'm pinning, I'm going through my blog posts and updating them. 🖥 I updated my blog home page so it's more searchable. ✍ I worked on a first draft of a blog post & newsletter 📹 I shot some b-roll for future posts This week: Finish the blog post & newsletter & post them Continue posting on Pinterest 3x/day Continue updating old blog posts (at least 1 per week) for clarity and SEO Complete the first very rough draft of my next blog post Update 1-2 of my opt-in emails, adding a second email leading to a product to purchase

@Maliha M I will! I told myself not to even look for any kind of trends or data for at least 3 months and not to expect much even then. I’m focusing on pinning and getting organized.
Newsletters VS blog posts?
Hey! I've got a question. Some marketers write a typical blog post, post it and that's it. Others write newsletters, send them to their audience and post them on their website (instead of/like blog posts). How does that work? What's the difference? Is this any good? Is it better than blog posts? 🤔 Just wondering...
Newsletters VS blog posts?

I’ve done this before, where I would do a newsletter post and then post it as a blog. But I find it doesn’t work that great, personally, because my newsletters are very casual. I basically write them like I’m talking to someone I know, and I’m not really concerned about how people are gonna find it- is it searchable and all that stuff, I really just wanna connect with people and be myself. That’s why I love my newsletters cause I feel they help me remember why I have a blog. But that’s my style. I’ve see tons of people post newsletters as blogs. I’m pretty sure James clear does this and his newsletter format is totally different than the articles he writes. He has a really unique thing going for him. Anne Handley does this too. She spends hours on her newsletter each week because that’s one of her main ways to connect with people. So, I think it depends on your style and how much time you have. A good technique could be to make the post, and then do a short newsletter- a little story behind it and then share the link.
Divi or Astra?
I have Divi, but I don't want to pay for it again, it's $80 a year. I heard Astra is a great theme, but I'm wondering if anyone knows how much of a pain it'll be to switch and if it's better. I like Divi because it's easy to use. I use their templates to make a page and then I drag and drop to make changes. I don't love Divi or their templates, I actually don't like the look of my website at all, but it's just easy. I know my focus should mostly be on content at this stage, but if I can avoid another bill to renew that would be great. If anyone has experience with any of this I appreciate your response. Thanks, Donna

@Maliha M I use siteground so I did a staging site and when I changed to astra it messed it all up. It got rid of all the formatting. I think I’m going to just leave it for now because it’s not worth the effort. It’s functioning so that’s fine. And by next year I’ll figure it out.
