Ok thx… I must have missed the memo about the class being cancelled and the new weekly LIVE YouTube sessions
How is germinating spinach seeds different?
I’ve researched enough to know that it’s different and more difficult but I’d like to hear it from The Master himself.

@R Michael Moore yeah I YouTubed , googled, Chat GPTd, and Groked it. I posted the message to get Chad’s attention so we could discuss it on the live meeting last Saturday. He too has struggled with spinach; he hasn’t had any success. I guess I find some solace in that LOL!

@Gillian El Deeb and Mother Nature does this with ease
Tower Garden Indoor Lighting Guide
Chad... The recent YT Live brought up solar power. You mentioned weeks back that you would do a comprehensive guide to Tower Garden Indoor Lighting. Your recent email included "Dialing in Indoor Systems". What is your plan and timing for the comprehensive Tower Garden Indoor Lighting guide?

^^ what he said ^^
What do you grow?
What do people enjoy growing hydroponically and can it really replace the supermarket in terms of food? I have realised my one tower is more of a hobby and aesthetically pleasing green space in my house rather than going to save me any real money in the long term in terms of food. Maybe I would need a tower garden farm to do that.

Gillian I am starting my second grow and this too will simply be leafy greens. I grow indoors and use only the TG LEDs. At this point I’m not considering adding the lights required to do more. Not long after I added up the cost of the TG experience (TG, lights, meters, H2O2, pH down, rockwool, seedling starter kit w LEDs, heating mat, etc, I realized that I’d save ‘some’ money but not enough to call it ‘real’ money vs the cost. I still make my trips to the supermarket for other things I don’t grow on the TG. I too, realized It’s a hobby for me but it is one that gives back so to speak. I do get a lot of satisfaction out of giving neighbors fresh homegrown veggies and the TG is quite a conversation piece. By the way, I recently bought a chiller so I have to get a lot of greens here to “break even”. Knowing what I know now, would I do it again? Yes absolutely 🤓

Yes my first was a success and I’m about to sow the seeds for the second. I don’t have any experience either. I’m actually a little apprehensive about this time which might seem odd but I literally am not sure that I knew enough on the first such that I can repeat it for the second aka beginners luck. I have followed your posts/difficulties and I can see that in my location (New Orleans) I have warmer, more humid weather. My air conditioner stays on year round with a few days exception here and there. Today it will be 25C. That said my water temps in the TG run on the high side of acceptable hence the chiller. My humidity indoors stay fairly constant between 50 to 55% inching up to 60% at times as long as I have the AC running. I use RO water and I have to add ~ 9 or 10 liters every 4 or 5 days so I’m keeping my pH and EC within a tight range. The temp in the room where I keep the TG is about 25C. I did add some H2O2 and I added some CalMag both long after I should have started using them. I used the General Hydroponics nutrients and followed the recommended EC. I did use the Flora Bloom not realizing that with leafy greens it is not required. I did use frozen water bottles to help w the water temp. I thought I had too much light on my seedling trays and not enough on the TG but it all worked out. So Gillian I feel like I kind of stumbled through the process but wound up with good healthy veggies and more than I could consume. There were other snafus along the way. Here I only mention a few LOL!

Chad I thought this was the best Live session thusfar. It was not random at all. It had more direction and was more focused. It was , as you say, less "shooting the s**t". By the way, thank you for covering my question about growing peas indoors using the TG LED lights. The timeslot for the live session usually conflicts with my work schedule so attending live is not convenient for me; the recordings work for me. I'll post any questions I have in the "Questions for Chad" section and then watch the videos... this is a great help. I'm about to start my 2nd indoor TG including the sugar snap peas :-)
