What does this info mean to you ? Here are the three most important insights from the incident involving Amazon Web Services (AWS) today, framed with an eye toward what it means strategically (forward-thinking view): 1. Massive cascading outage — not yet confirmed as a cyberattack The disruption began in the US-East-1 region of AWS and affected “more than 1,000 global platforms and services” including major consumer apps, banks, government services, and AWS internal tools.
