@Cole Copeland Cole, I really like how you're getting hands on, creating extension, and running your feet through contact. That's a great foundation. Now let's get better at finishing the block. When you shed, pull the O-Lineman down toward your near hip and step behind him so you don't drift sideways away from the play. Also keep working that stance and get-off. The better you get there, the easier everything else becomes.

@Ryan Desrochers Welcome Coach Ryan!! Glad to have you in here! Getting back into coaching the trenches after some time away is awesome. Definitely check out the Coaching Blueprint and D-Line Technique Lab. They'll help you get dialed back into the fundamentals, drills, and how I teach the position. And anytime you have questions about your Edge guys, post them in here. Always happy to help Coach!

Nathan, this actually looks really good!! Your first step, extension, and hips are looking CLEAN! But my man… YOU'RE WEARING FLIP-FLOPS 😂😂 Get those cleats on! Always practice how you're going to play. Get on those toes, load that front leg, and EXPLODE into that sled. Your form is there. Now let's speed it up, hit it harder, and RUN THOSE FEET on contact! Keep going bro!!
Stance Help (bad knees)
I have knee issues but slowly getting stronger through physical therapy. Sometimes I feel like I get stuck in my stance because my knees lock up. Any suggestions?

Your stance actually looks REALLY good Sydnee!! There isn't much technically that I would change right now. The biggest thing for getting more comfortable in that position is reps, reps, reps. Work stance holds every day. Hold your stance, let those legs start getting tired, and then practice exploding out of it. That's going to help that position start feeling more natural instead of feeling like you're stuck in it. I'd spend about 10 minutes a day doing stance holds and stance-hold-to-get-off reps. And make sure you're staying up on those toes and loading that front leg instead of getting flat-footed. That'll make it much easier to explode out instead of feeling locked into the stance. Keep working with your PT and within what your knees tolerate, but technique-wise, you're looking good! Now we just need to make that stance feel NORMAL. 💪

Jack, the biggest thing I want you working on right now is loading that front leg and exploding off the ball! When the QB starts the cadence, start loading that front leg. Get that weight forward and be ready to EXPLODE when that ball moves. Start there, bro. That alone is going to make a HUGE difference!
