The Word of God - 1 Timothy 4:15-16 (Part 2)
This scripture says that your salvation, and the salvation of others, is dependent upon whether or not you practice what you preach. Q: Why does God put such a premium on our actions instead of just our intellectual belief? Q: Are you willing to make the Bible your standard for how you live and what you believe?

The Word of God - 1 Timothy 4:15-16 (Part 1)
Life and doctrine are both important Q: What is the result of neglecting one or both? Q: What is the result of persevering in both? Q: What do the terms “life” and “doctrine” mean in this setting? Q: Which one – life or doctrine – do you prioritize or view as more necessary? Q: What would it look like for you to pursue them equally?

The Word of God - Hebrews 4:12-13
The Word is relevant (alive) and active (dynamic). It transcends time and is as applicable today as when it was written. Q: How does that contradict the dominant view that the Bible is dusty, old, and irrelevant? God’s Word also has the power to penetrate and judge the thoughts and attitudes of our hearts. Q: What emotional or spiritual defenses may rise up as God’s Word challenges your heart? It can cut us and “hurt” at times, but that is a good thing as it encourages us to repent and change. We will all have to give an account to God, not only for our outward actions, but for our inner-life as well. Q: What does this scripture communicate about God’s reign in our lives?

The Word of God - 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (Part 3)
The Bible thoroughly equips us; thus, it is all we need to seek a righteous life filled with every good work. Man's traditions cannot improve the Word as it equips and guides us. Q: What good works might God be preparing you to do? Q: In what ways do you need His help to be more “thorough” in your preparation? Q: What principles of training ensure success?

The Word of God - 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (Part 2)
Paul lists four ways that Scripture is useful for us: Teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. Q: How have you been taught with scripture? (don't over think it) Q: How have you been rebuked/reproofed with scripture? Q: How have you been corrected with scripture? Q: How often should you train if you wanted to be the absolute best version of yourself that God needs you to be? Q. What would that training look like?
