Something for yourself this weekend!
It’s over in less than 24 hours… Before the weekend ends… Let’s all do ONE (more) thing for yourself! I’m heading down to my “lab” For a leg workout! What will you do? Pushups? Deep knee bends? A walk? Do one more thing for yourself and share what you did below so you can inspire the rest of us!

Tong Il "The Tul"
Social media often pushes us to focus only on what looks “perfect” and “aesthetic.” It conditions us to show only what is “presentable.” Yes, of course, the Tul could be performed more cleanly, and even that so-called “spontaneity” can be rehearsed. But the truth is, this is who we are: imperfect human beings, striving for a perfection we may never fully reach. And that’s exactly what makes the journey meaningful. We keep training, improving, sharing, and showing that growth is always possible. P.S. I was reminding my current students how difficult — or even directly impossible — it was to learn the next Tuls in the past if there wasn’t a more advanced practitioner at the school. Different times…

The Path of Constant Improvement
Nothing worth achieving comes easily or quickly. In Taekwon-Do, we learn that true progress is built over time, through constant and progressive repetition. Every step forward is a victory over yesterday’s self. Nada que realmente valga la pena se logra fácil ni rápido. En Taekwon-Do aprendemos que el verdadero progreso se construye con el tiempo, a través de la repetición constante y progresiva. Cada paso adelante es una victoria sobre el yo de ayer.

Dear Master, Your project, as well as your presentation, has been truly outstanding — marked by great intellectual honesty, empathy toward others, and a thoughtful approach that considers each of us from different perspectives and with great attention to detail. For example, you have given us the opportunity to document Taekwon-Do as it has been taught to us, while also addressing a crucial and highly relevant topic today: how to teach this new generation, so deeply influenced by social media; how to make Taekwon-Do more welcoming to those who are just beginning, while acknowledging the importance of protocol, but also understanding that respect is not imposed — it is earned over time and in its own time. This opens the door to so much meaningful and passionate discussion about everything we share in common. Your proposal and your way of thinking about Taekwon-Do, deeply rooted in humility, will undoubtedly enrich us all. I must also reiterate my special gratitude for granting me the privilege of your friendship, because even though we have not met in person, we share and “resonate on the same frequency, my friend.”

@Chris Reid There will be no shortage of opportunities, master.
Share Your Progress!
Let us know what day it is for you and then share how many pushups you did in each set and how many you did in total. You can post everyday, or just on day one, or day one and day ten, or a random day... One way or the other though, we want to hear how things are going so we can support your efforts!

I would like to share that I have been doing small maintenance routines of abdominal exercises, but about four days ago I started increasing the number of repetitions with the goal of reaching one thousand throughout the day. For now, I am doing sets of 100 of each of the exercises shown, and today was the first day I reached 500. Then I maintain that amount for one week, and after that I increase to a new step at 600, and so on. By the way, being able to share this here is very motivating and helps me stay committed.
