This self portrait is a reflection of my journey. If you look closely, you can see stitching that represents healing. You can also see how the color palette shifts from sadness to joy. My smile is bigger my eyes are wide. There’s almost a patchiness to my picture, which is representative of all of the things that make me, well ME! Learning how to forgive myself as as well as others and make space for things that bring me happiness.

This is me and everyone that I love. The first thing I allowed myself to say I liked about myself was my eyes. My “Johnson” eyes. I am so grateful to get my eyes from my dad. His eyes were so beautiful. The squiggly lines of color represent the Chaos and Traumas of life. The Appalachian Mountains is where I found myself and started my healing journey. The solid red hearts are my children with Glen. My husband is solid purple. He’s perfect for me and I am so grateful for all that he has given me. The red outlined hearts are my mom and dad. Dad’s heart is broken since his passing. The two blue hearts on the left are my two best friends that have lasted around 40 years even with decades of little contact. The line of pink hearts is my Sister followed by my Neices and nephews. She is my bestest friend. She has all her ducks in a row and is the definition of strength. The many blue hearts on the right is each foster child that has been in put in my path. The darkest ones are the 3 kids that I have now. I uploaded the long exposure picture because I like it as much as the original. The red hearts look like flames of fire. The chaos has given a unique texture while I still remain Strong💕

Whether it’s painting, drawing, or any form of creative expression, I’m here to support you in unlocking your potential and finding joy in the process. Join me as we explore the world of art together, transforming our past experiences into beautiful expressions of resilience and strength. Let’s embark on this journey of healing and growth, one piece of art at a time. ❤️

I think part of the healing comes from just allowing yourself to make something beautiful. Giving yourself beauty… Knowing that I am capable to create something… Having control of what I use my time for.

I am a mother, wife, big sister, and an unconventional Christian. I am soooooo introverted so if you wanna be my friend, you’ll need to approach me.💕
