It was a great meeting! I heard a lot from both Kathy & Paul to let me know that this will be a wonderful place for both networking and learning the tools of the trade. Thanks for organizing this!
Hello again
I just learned how to attach a photo of my books to go with my new members introduction. 😀

@Paul Roberson thank you. I’m looking forward to learning a lot here
Hello and About Me
I am happy to have found this group! It seems to be a supportive group where I should learn a lot. I am a retired public school elementary music teacher. After retiring, I opened a private piano studio, exclusively teaching piano in small groups. I am also a Kodály instructor and teach music teachers at a university summer course. I’m the author of a piano book for young beginners, PLAY AND PLAY, both student and teacher revised editions. It is based upon the Kodály philosophy of using folk songs and singing games to teach music literacy. This specialized method of teaching began in the country of Hungary by composer and university music teacher Zoltan Kodály. I was honored to conduct a session at the International Kodály Symposium this past August. The session was about using my piano book to teach piano. As you can probably guess, I’m looking for guidance and instruction in marketing my books. I’ve also written 3 children’s musicals that have been piloted over the years at various elementary schools. I want to publish them. I also have a children’s book that I want to publish. It’s based upon a song my father wrote about a cow we had. I have a picture of him with the cow plus a recording of him singing the song and playing his guitar. Whew! I know that’s lot of information. I am definitely looking forward to information, support, and instruction from this group.
