Color Help
I am a long-time knitter, but never fell under the spell of colorwork. I've done some, of course, in children's sweaters, socks and mittens. I have never knit a colorwork sweater. There is a lot more to it, lol! I don't know any of the color theory -- what color is dominant -- how to position the colors -- if I want the sweater to be light vs. dark, etc. I have navy blue, light brown, and dark grey. I have multiple colors to choose from for the fourth color. Can you give a girl who is clueless about color placement a hand? I was hoping I could figure it out by reading the posts and looking at the WIPs, but it hasn't happened. Thanks!

@Beth Williams I've tried that, lol 😆 What I don't know is how to create the pallette. Which of the colors need to be which letter. What color is the main base color and what "positions" do the other colors take in company with that base color. Maybe I'm just overthinking the whole thing.
Hello!
Hi everyone 👋 I was just going to sort of troll until I saw the WIP photos of Clue 1. I was immediately hooked. I am just now finishing up the Caeli sweater and I see the genius in the pattern-writer 😉 I knew I had to make this. I have a set of three colors of silk/merino/cashmere, navy blue, tan and dark gray, four 50g balls of each, in DK weight, but thinking of holding a strand of silk mohair with one or more of the colors. I have yet to figure out what color I want for my fourth. This will also be my first steeking experience, so I may freak out a bit, lol, but have been assured that the trauma will pass.

Retired with 65+ years of knitting under my belt. I'm almost finished the Caeli Sweater and absolutely love it. Looking forward to this MYAL.
