Hi coach and classmates, I had a quick question! What do you usually do when a client brings brand new hair extensions that still have the silicone coating and factory smell because they didn’t wash them first? I worked a pageant over the weekend, and the curls wouldn’t hold and the hairstyles looked a bit oily/flat because of that coating 🫠🫠 I still did their hair BUT not proud of the outcome. Like at all 🫣 The extensions felt so greasy……. Thankfully it was just two ladies and other four were good 👍🏽 Anyhow -How do you all handle this situation? Do you charge more and wash them if you have time? Do you refuse to do their hair? Do you warn them about the possibility that their desired hairstyle will probably not look as their expectations 🫠 this has never happened before, but there’s a first time for everything 🫢

Here is my first attempt at the Hollywood Waves. Looking back at it now I feel that I could have done way more back combing on the waves and also the bang. I had just purchased a round brush that I believed was a blow dryer styling tool but it turned out that it was just a hot round brush which I should have tested the tool before hand. I ended up setting the bang and pushed back side anyways after using the tool, I did have to re curl the bang and finessing it as best as I could but looking back I wish I would have teased it a lot more or used more powder to give it texture. This was the outcome I wasn’t mad at it but definitely not the luxury look I was going for. Feed back welcomed. Ty 😊

Here is my first Quinceañera client I had this morning. I was super excited to try the techniques from your tutorial. I felt super confident going into the appointment, I tried selling the extensions to her but her mom was not interested. My client mentioned that she had the same style done for her photos but she was not happy with how flat it had turned out. I mentioned that her inspo pic for sure had extensions and that I would do my best to give her the fullness that she wanted by using padding. She ended up LOVING the style she kept saying how I made her feel like she had so much more hair (which she did lol) . I can see where I can improve but not bad for the first time. THANK YOU MEG! 😊✨
