Welcome to The Wonky Art Society! Say hi 👋
Welcome, lovely artists, I’m so happy you’re here! ❤️ The Wonky Art Society is a low-pressure space for digital artists, Procreate lovers and creative humans who want to draw more, practice with joy and grow their skills without perfectionism ruining all the fun. To get things started, I’d love to know a little bit about you. Introduce yourself in the comments and tell us: 1. Where are you from? 2. Are you more of a digital artist, traditional artist, or happily chaotic mix of both? 3. What would you love to get out of this community? And lastly (and that, to me, is the most fun part) Tell us one of your weirdest quirks! 😇 I can’t wait to make art with you, the low-pressure way. Let me start: 1. I'm Jutta, artist and educator based in Düsseldorf, Germany. 2. I'm mostly a digital artist (no mess, ya know, no setting up a gazillion of tools and cleaning brushes and stuff 😇) but I also love drawing with alcohol & acrylic markers. 3. I want to share my philosophy "Getting good at art-making should not feel hard. Practice is key of course but you can only keep a sustainable art-making habit when you actually love what you're doing." I would like to meet cool artsy people and spend time with them talking about the stuff we all love. And my weirdest quirk: I love watching my Kitchen Aid mix ingredients into a nice and smooth dough. So satisfying.

@Randi Kuhne So many memories come up reading this. I loved the library. I don't think it's open anymore, but I think of the "bubble" chairs and the sunken floor. I thought it was the coolest when I was a kid. Oddly, I also think about the sounds of checking out books. I wish I could recreate it. There was a machine and then the manual stamp of the due date. (sniff, sniff). Music and food in both Lafayette and NO are such an experience. One of my favorite things in NO as an adult was staying with a friend in the Quarter and riding bikes places.

@Leslie Casey Howdy, I'm in Galveston.
Plant Pot Lake Adventuring
I read plant pots and not potted plants, so my pots have gone on an adventure sans plants. I made several versions from this prompt and learned plenty.

Three Vessels Doing Shadow Work
Jumping back into the shadow practice with three vessels, one of which has a degree of transparency. Might have been a bit overly ambitious, but there's some stuff here I like.

@Becky Blumer Thank you.

@Chey Townsend Thanks. I gravitate to slightly "off" colors.
Weekly prompt
I didn’t have more time so I just created a wonky flower pot. I enjoy your wonky class on Skillshare @Jutta Schneider , that’s why I decided to create in that style. I finished with the mug, I put it here too.

Sweet lady bug. Yes, blobby background. Yes, matching daisies. Yes, wonkiness, and now I'd like a mug of coffee.

Quirky and creative, grumpy and joyful. Beach Bum, living with cats. Garden time, song birds and beach birds. Collector of things, so many things.
