Be DELIBERATE: intentional with how I spend my time/energy/focus. No browsing Youtube tutorials. No window shopping for plugins. Just dedicated work to refine my skills. Be DECISIVE: break through the paralysis of reflection and indecision - trust my ears and know that my actions are informed by best practice and personal taste. Be DISCIPLINED: incremental growth over time yields compounding results. Consistently showing up and doing the work - that's the name of the game.

Hi everybody! I've been tuning in to stuff from Mastering.com for a few months now and figure I should start to participate in the community (at least periodically). I've been playing saxophone for nearly 30 years and finally decided to record my first project as the front man. It was a great experience, and I'd love to do it more often. Learning how to mix/master would allow me to produce my own recordings, plus provide an extra skill set if I ever wanted to help with other people's projects. Looking forward to learning more from the community.
