Course Update 2/18/26
Good morning! We have finally completed our second course. As we are sure you've noticed, it's taken quite sometime to get it completed. This is due to the tight schedule our team has, and the complexity and size of the course. However, we're excited to show you all our biggest and most detailed course yet. Please feel free to go check out our new beginner course to fishing! Thank you all!😁

Whitetail Lesson
We have finished our Basics to whitetail course! Although it is very minimal, it covers most things you need to know about how to find deer and how to hunt them. In the future, we can make courses on what to use to hunt them or different tactics to get after them. If this interests you, feel free to drop a comment here, or make a post about what you'd like to learn about. Thanks y'all!

Need some advice
Hey guys my name is Martin! I'm completely new to hunting as I don't come from a hunting family but I'm excited to start. I've always been into the outdoors and love to fish. Anyway, Im going to get my first hunting rifle and wanted to here your thoughts on what I was thinking of getting. I want something relatively cheap(including cheap ammo and availability) that I am able to hunt pretty much anything I want in North America. I'll probably be hunting mostly in southeast US as I am in Florida. But it would be cool to be able to use anywhere in the US if I end up traveling with it. I was thinking a Ruger American Gen 2 in a . 308 with a Leupold VX Freedom 3-9x40 scope??

Hey, thanks for the post! Also, love the American Gen 2! I've got one in .270 win and .350 legend. Outstanding rifles. As far as caliber, .308 covers most anything you'd be able to chase in North America. They're perfect for Hogs, Whitetail, Mulies, and I'm sure it could take down an Elk with a well placed shot at a close enough range. Other calibers you could look into: .270 Win, 7mm Mag, 6.5 Creedmoore, 7mm-08, and even a .243 if you're looking for less recoil for deer sized game. For a scope, you can't beat Leupold in my opinion, especially for the everyday deer hunter. Feel free to message me with any more questions, or continue to post here with questions or updates! Good luck!
Update
Howdy everyone! This week and weekend we will be finishing our series on whitetail. Up next? That's up to you! My team and I have a vast knowledge in all things Hunting and Fishing (in North America, but some info applies elsewhere as well), and we'd love to hear what you guys would like to discuss or learn about. So! Any ideas? Add a post or comment on an existing post! We are also active on the messaging through this app, so feel free to reach out. Enjoy, and y'all stay warm!

Just a kid who grew up in the woods and on the water. I've hunted and fished my entire life, and I want to help others learn about this great hobby.
