Hey, thanks for the post! Also, love the American Gen 2! I've got one in .270 win and .350 legend. Outstanding rifles. As far as caliber, .308 covers most anything you'd be able to chase in North America. They're perfect for Hogs, Whitetail, Mulies, and I'm sure it could take down an Elk with a well placed shot at a close enough range. Other calibers you could look into: .270 Win, 7mm Mag, 6.5 Creedmoore, 7mm-08, and even a .243 if you're looking for less recoil for deer sized game.
