Discovery ascent 🔥🔥🔥
I'm not in the Blitz this month, but I'm so stocked for the ascent in discovery over the past 2 weeks! 194 on 12/31 to 156 on 1/10 to 130 today (1/16)! LFG!!! Formula? Just authentic posting and organic engagement. No gimmicks or incentives. I even removed the freemium membership 2 weeks ago and went to paid tiers to remove lurkers, scammers, and free loaders who never intend to pay. I'm not posting every day. But when I do, I try to have something of value to say. Wanted to share in case anyone else feels pressure to post daily. Quality over quantity works!

@Jason Scott No I haven't. Im curious about that because a tried a theme briefly and it didn't resonate with my audience, so I need to figufre out the right fit.
getting uncomfortable 🤍
I took an early morning workout class yesterday & the instructor said, "The toughness of this class isn't to work out your body, it's to work out your mind." I really liked that sentiment & felt like it is really important to realize how powerful our minds can be. For instance, later on in the day yesterday, I joined my first call in @Mary Wilmer's community. I didn't see any familiar faces & I had no idea what to expect. Mary started the call with an exercise to loosen everyone up & I immediately got nervous. She asked for everyone to pick a color that they resonated with & explain the color as if it was ourself (ie I am light blue, I am like the ocean & I feel like I give people peace of mind & calmness). I felt a little embarrassed to be silly or say something weird with people I don't know, but then I thought to myself, "why do I care so much???" ... I was letting my mind run the show & overthinking way too much. I absolutely LOVED how effortlessly Mary was able to get every single person on her call to be silly & vulnerable. That's truly a gift & I already can't wait for the next call 🤍 Felt like I needed to share this here in Goosify bc if you've been to a Goose-lead IRL, then you already KNOW that this is such a key component. Shaking off the seriousness, getting silly, getting out of your comfort zone, & just opening your mind to new things. Throwback to dancing & playing red light/green light in the middle of Central Park with people we all just met at the NYC IRL 🤣

Love this post, Sam! More self love, less worrying about what other people think - so much freedom in that!
Wingman chrome extension?

Bold Moves
So I have been watching others on here and debating with myself about how to "show up" in my community. How much of myself can I safely express and reveal? What would people say or think? Would they take me seriously?.. etc etc. I keep going back to that day during NYC IRL when I met Goose and his peeps and learned about having a bold theme that I can get excited about, one that sets the culture and tone for the community. The importance of inside jokes. The idea that when you, as a community host, are having fun, that energy is contagious and connective. When I first created my community, I was playing it safe. I wanted to be taken seriously. I wanted things to feel calm, professional, and serene. And while that worked… it also wasn’t the full expression of me. Am I thoughtful and grounded? Yes. But I’m also a bit irreverent. A bit cheeky. A bit fiery. So yesterday I made a bold move. What used to be Real Talk for Singles 50+ is now Find Love After 50. And what used to be a muted stock photos theme is now a very intentional Seinfeld-inspired vibe—complete with familiar images, inside jokes, and a nod to the awkwardness of dating that so many of us recognize. [Before and After pics attached below]. Will everyone love it or approve? Probably not. And that’s ok. That’s not the point. The point is that I’m having fun. I’m trying something new. I’m letting my freak flag fly. The people who love it will likely stay longer and feel more connected. Those who don’t? They may still stick around just for the “show”—who knows. 😉 What I do know is this: when the host feels energized and alive, that energy spills into the entire community. Shout out to @Brian Rushalski , @Sam Greiner and @Goose Dunlavey for inspiration! Let me know what bold moves or theme you've adopted for your community and why it's working for you.

wow - 2nd Pin on Goosify in a month! Thank you so much for all the support! AND I just broke 200 in Discovery a few minutes ago! woohooo
💥 Crossed 100 Members today 💥 and broke 300 in discovery 🎉
I officially launched my community in early November and today (1 mo later) I crossed 100 members, all organic!! Woohoo! On top of that my community broke 300 in the relationship category on the same day. I’ve been tracking discovery religiously over the past few weeks since early November when we were still in the 600s. How did this happen?I've been following so many of you on here who came before me and all of your advice has been instrumental! Thank you, thank you for your learnings, and for so generusly sharing your wisdom! In my coaching I teach that any result you create in your life always comes down to your level of thinking. You don't have a traffic problem, you have a thinking problem. You don't have an offer problem, you have a thinking problem. It's not a niche problem, it's a thinking problem. Our thoughts are the ONLY thing either getting us to our goals or keeping us from them. I had to practice so hard believing it was possible for me to ramp up a community and monetize it in a meaningful way. I'm not there yet, but today's milestones are the first in many small steps. This is for anyone who still doesn’t believe it’s possible for them. Belief comes first, actions follow, results confirm the belief. Not the other way around. Here’s to many more milestones! And to training our brain to believe what it doesn’t yet believe! Pics are from NYC IRL where it all began. What an incredible day with Goose and the gang!

@Kassidy Strause To be clear, I have an existing community on Meetup.com and have been doing weekly live calls there to promote my community on skool. My meetup community has grown organically through the platform. So in a sense Im not starting with community from scratch. But all of the members I have attracted have come through organic means - word of mouth, social posts and the meetup group.
