Invitation to Be A Founding Member of The Town Square
We are ready to launch! We've met for calls, we've talked, we've gathered ideas, and now it's time! Here is everything you need to know about what's included in the founding member launch of the Town Square community. The recordings of our last two Town Square calls are below if you'd like to check them out. They are optional though, and everything you need to know follows the links to these replays. On these calls we talked Live about all the benefits of being a member of this community, and we also did a deeper dive into the mission, the vision, the purpose, and the narrative of the "why" we are coming together. Second call recording, evening of Thursday EST. First call recording, morning of Thursday EST. πŸ”₯ Town Square is launching for founding members at $5/month, not $9/month. The price increases to $9 on June 7th. Right now, we’re focused on gathering the right people to help shape the culture and the community from the beginning. πŸ›οΈ How do you benefit as a founding member of the Town Square? You get to be part of what we're building from the beginning, ongoing spaces for connection, support, and hanging out. πŸ”” Monthly Town Square Gathering Facilitated by @Justin Yip 🌱 Member-Led Calls Sessions facilitated by members for members (12+ in June) β€’ Goal Setting β€’ Feedback Sessions β€’ Co-Writing Hours β€’ Co-Working Sessions β€’ Action Learning Sets β€’ Story Sharing β€’ Women’s Circle β€’ Writing Salon β€’ Celebrating Wins & Gratitude β€’ β€œHow’s Life, Really?” conversation β€’ Air-It-Out Session β€’ Bottleneck Breakthrough Session Hosted by community members: @Katinka van Kan, @Devin Trent, @Rachel Harmsworth, @Vishad Doshi, @Jennifer Elaine , @Dave Schoof, @Tah Whitty, @Dani Rosenblad James, @Ashley Jasper Styles , @Krissi Driver, @Chris Brandwein, @Dr. Jay

Our First Town Square Gathering - Flowgenda and Recap
How do we create the BEST community for entrepreneurs supporting entrepreneurs? A. You can watch the full recording below. B. You can skim through the full recording, the transcript, or even ask AI questions with Fathom here. C. You can read the written summary below Full recording would be the best experience, especially since we're creating a culture πŸ˜‰ Also, click here to add the next Town Hall Gathering Call to your calendar. Next week, same day, same time. We will continue to shape and co-create this community! The Flowgenda: -Why now? -The problem with most β€œcommunities” -The vision of the Town Square -Community design frameworks -Mission, vision, values, why -What actually happens in the Town Square? -Types of events and what member-led means -How do we really benefit by being a member? -Next steps πŸ“£ Why now? This started as an overflow. Not a strategy. When you find something that genuinely lights you up, you can't contain it. The Gene Keys talks about purpose being like a rain cloud: when it's full, it has to let it out. Community is that for Justin. He's been assembling people, hosting calls, connecting entrepreneurs in the free community for a while now. But the intentionality wasn't there. This is the intentional container. πŸ“£ The problem with most "communities" Most Skool groups are not really communities. They're leader-facing groups. One person at the front providing all the value. Members come and go. Peer-to-peer connection barely exists. You get to know the host a little, but you don't really get to know each other. Nothing sticks. No real belonging. A lot of people on the call dropped a "1" in the chat when asked if they see this happening in communities they've been part of. It's a shared experience. πŸ“£ The vision of the Town Square A square, not a stage. The members are the value, not the host. The goal is to build a real community where entrepreneurs genuinely support each other, not just consume content from one person. And because Justin is figuring this out live, in public, anyone here who owns a community gets to watch it being built and take what works into their own space.

Town Hall Gathering is Happening on Thursday!
(πŸ‘€ 🎧 read or listen) Add the event to your calendar here. We already have 25 members! That tells me we're onto something worth building with intention. So this is your official invite to our first LIVE Town Hall Gathering, where we are co-creating the experience, the benefits of being a member, and the overall vibe together. Here's the question I want us to answer together... What would the BEST community of entrepreneurs supporting entrepreneurs actually look like? What would it be like if the value and the benefit of the membership IS the members? Sure, every entrepreneur needs business strategy, but what about a more foundational layer? What about just having peers, allies, and colleagues that hang out, talk about things, and offer feedback and other kinds of support? I've also been collecting ideas and notes from our conversations in the posts and comments. We've been throwing around a lot of ideas for what this community could be like. -Co-working hours. -Writing hours for content creation. -Challenges. Games. -Feedback Fridays. All of that is very doable. And those ideas are just from comments and posts. What can we brainstorm and co-create on an actual Live call with each other? Here are the eight core design principles for successful cooperation that will help guide how we put this all together. Thank you @Des Cooke for sharing these principles with me. 1. Shared Identity and Purpose - one collective identity, one meaningful mission. 2. Equitable Contribution and Benefit - everyone brings value, everyone receives it. 3. Inclusive Decision-Making - those affected by decisions have a voice in them. 4. Transparency and Accountability - expectations are visible, and we hold each other to them. 5. Adaptive Feedback - helpful behavior is reinforced, unhelpful behavior is addressed. 6. Fast and Fair Conflict Resolution - tensions get resolved directly and efficiently. 7. Self-Governance and Autonomy - we uphold and evolve our principles (1-6). 8. Aligned External Collaboration - partnerships are built on the same foundations (1-7).

Heya
Hello everyone. I am a behaviour analyst. For the last 30 years, I have stood in front of over 30,000 people to teach the fundamentals of how we think, act, and ultimately change. You know how coaches often struggle to support people who do not stick to the behaviours they commit to? I provide the translation layer, turning complex behavioural science into practical, session-ready tools that coaches can actually use with their clients. My core philosophy is simple: Language is the intervention. True behaviour change emerges when you alter how someone relates to their thoughts, not by trying to magically change the thoughts themselves. Instead of shouting at a withering plant to grow, I teach the behavioural architecture needed to check the light, test the soil, and build a Behavioural Greenhouse where growth is the natural result. I am in the business of giving coaches better retention and testimonials through measurable transformations. I put a comment in AEN that I thought was in here so please note this in terms of things I bring... https://www.skool.com/alignednetwork/we-call-it-a-community-but-is-it?p=3b32616e On a personal note, for fun, I used to be completely obsessed with windsurfing.
