Whats your go to when teaching roundabouts? How do you make it simple to do? Do you have issues teaching them? If you could give yourself one bit of advice that would have helped in your early days, what would it have been?
You would communicate the question in another way so they can understand it better and encourage them to answer. It could also be they are a bit overwhelmed from emerging from the busy junction and can’t answer effectively. Maybe a stop and chat at the earliest opportunity would work better.
My goal is to be as ready and prepared as I can be for my first pupil on Monday as a trainee driving instructor. I am watching all the videos on here and going through my notes that I took during my training.
Whats your thoughts on josh's debrief? Could we have added anything in? Was it encouraging? Did the lesson show that josh had progressed? Did josh feel more confident? Was a plan set? Was anything outside our goal an issue for josh?
I think it was a good debrief. Positive, open questions that encouraged good answers from the pupil and he sounded very happy with the progress he made. Clear goals for the next lesson.
