Day 37 – Broken Builds and Katsudon😅
Hi, this is G. WHAT A TERRIBLE DAY! Highlight of the day: I was 90% done with the elderly reminder app. Fixed a few annoying bugs. Things were finally working. Then I got bold. I decided to add a new supabase component for a voice agent handler — it connects voice recordings to an actual database instead of sample data. This was the final piece to make Nanatech truly interactive. But that’s when the spiral began. It started having issues with Echo. Then.... Changing one dependency led to another. And another. Suddenly, the build was failing. No matter how many times I reinstalled or rebuilt, the errors compounded. And the worst part? I didn’t save the working version before I made the changes. 😭😭😭😭😭! So now… I have to redo everything. From scratch. With only 9 days left in the hackathon. And yes, I stress-ate two massive bowls of katsudon. No regrets. Takeaway ------- ALWAYS save a working version before adding major features. It sounds obvious. But in the flow of building, it’s so easy to skip. And today, I paid the price. But hey .... on a brighter note — someone signed up for AgentCamp today. My first real opt-in. That felt good. Feel free to check the site at www.agentcamp.co (I submitted this to the Lovable Hackathon). So yeah… rebuilding from zero. Has this ever happened to you? Break everything right after it starts working?

We’ve all been there, friend. I had to laugh out loud at your pain because I was in a similar position today. I really appreciate hearing that we all have been through this. No matter how many years of programming, it still happens from time to time.
How I Book 13 Meetings in a Day with Just 966 Emails (No Guesswork)
Generic pitches don’t work anymore. You’re emailing busy business owners — they don’t care what you do. They care about what’s wrong on their end. Here's what works now: Scrape any business from platforms like Yelp, BokaDirect, TruePeopleSearch, Apollo, IG & more Verify every email before hitting send Run full audits on their site (SEO, UX, mobile, speed, performance, all of it) Write laser-personalized emails based on their actual problems No website? It still writes an email based on that specific gap Sends 2-3 automated but smart follow-ups Updates CRM logs — hands-free So instead of 10,000 generic blasts and hoping for 10 replies... You're sending 966 sniper shots and booking 13 meetings. No manual effort. No scraping costs. Just results. Proof? Here’s what happened in yesterday’s campaign. It's not theory. It’s already working — for me and many other agencies.

I’m looking to work with local service ops. I’m interested in that piece of the puzzle.
Happy Father’s Day!
Take a moment to step away from the desk, close that n8n tab, and enjoy some time with the fam. Wishing you all a great end to the weekend!

Impersonation Alert, Need Your Guys' Help 🚨
Hey everyone, I need your help. There are two fake X (Twitter) accounts impersonating me and TrueHorizon AI, and they're promoting something called “TrueHorizon Coin”, this is NOT real, and I have nothing to do with it. Please take a moment to report both of these accounts for impersonation: - https://x.com/TrueHorizonAI - https://x.com/NathanHerkelman I’m not active on X, which is why this happened. My real X account is @nateherk. Thanks so much for your support, really appreciate this community! 🙏

I haven’t been on Xitter in many years
This Stuff is No Bed of Roses.
I'm running n8n on my workstation and as someone starting out in automation, I can honestly say that this is rough. I've got a little Python experience, but the only thing that keeps me from throwing my machine against the wall sometimes is that it's under my desk. Just watching videos from the beginning of the year, you might notice that nodes change from what's on the screen. Programming has taught me to have infinite patience when it comes to these things but AI constantly tests my patience day in and day out. Don't even talks to be about "vibe coding". I have to admit that when something works (finally!) it's a sweet feeling of accomplishment. I use apps that I create every day and I'm often fine-tuning them now and then. It really hits home when I realize that a few years ago I had no idea, experience or confidence to tackle these kind or projects. Stick with it even when you want to grab the hammer. As my sensei used to say, "It's all martial arts experience."

@Justin Simpson I work in Python and create apps to work in-house. Mostly content marketing and SEO. I’ll be sharing agents with the group as they’re perfected.

@Pl Roq I use Claude, Manus and NotebookLM as a RAG while working in n8n but it's still a slog for even the simplest workflows. I ended up stopping at 3am on a simple 5-node workflow because Google Sheets wasn't working properly. I've got enough experience to know that every hiccup leads to a solution that builds on my next experience.
