Recently, one of my friends who is also a biz bestie went radio silent. Not just a day, but a few... We all have a busy day from time to time, but this person was having certain challenges I knew about, so i was worried. And let me tell you this. YES, always take care of yourself. What I'm talking about isn't a "have to show up" performative thing... It's important to take care of whatever needs tending. But know that those who are close to you will notice if you go silent. We get used to seeing certain people popping up in Skool communities. And when someone goes silent, maybe a part of your mind notices and maybe a part of it thinks, :Oh, they're just busy," or "oh, they're just taking some time away." Maybe... Last weekend, I hadn't heard from my dad in a couple of days, which was unusual. We connect often. We usually have a text, if nothing else, almost every day and talk often. Being 89, you never know. I called hospitals. I tried reaching his apartment complex. Then on Sunday, I called the local police for a welfare check. The cop found that he had died in his apartment. We live in scary times, if you've noticed. You just never know what's going on with someone you care about. A. The person I was missing had medical issues, so I checked on them until they made contact. REAL community means looking out for those outside your tight circle. - If you think of someone, check on them. - If you're going, "I haven't seen ___ for a few days, C-H-E-C-K ON THEM. And if you know you're stepping away for - Self care - Family issues - Medical - vacay Just please let your close-in network know. That is all.
