Bloom Theory family, I wanted you to hear this directly from me. Today I received a call letting me know that there had been some complaints made about me from outside the community. And you know what? Part of being visible, involved, outspoken, and willing to help people is understanding that not everyone is going to like you or agree with everything you do. That’s okay. What matters most to me is knowing how I have shown up. I have spent countless hours answering questions, helping members, researching, creating resources, checking on people, solving problems, responding privately, and trying to make sure people felt heard and supported. I’ve never really looked at the people in these groups as “customers.” You’ve been people I genuinely care about, and I truly hope my interactions with you have shown that. Even when people have come to me frustrated, upset, or complaining about someone else, I have always tried extremely hard not to tear anyone down or speak badly about people. That’s just not how I want to operate. I believe people are human. People make mistakes. Relationships go through hard seasons. And whenever possible, I believe conversations, communication, and grace should come before publicly tearing someone apart or making someone feel disposable. With that being said, there has been a major change today. I am no longer part of Research Vault, and I am also no longer part of the Women’s Research Vault group that I originally created and owned. Of course, that hurts. I poured an enormous amount of time, energy, love, research, and heart into those communities because I believed in what we were building and, more importantly, because I cared deeply about the people inside of them. But I don’t want this post to become about pointing fingers, blaming anyone, or asking anybody to choose sides. Please don’t do that. I’m not interested in drama, retaliation, or tearing anybody else down. I’m choosing to look at this as a reminder that sometimes one chapter closes so you can finally give your full attention to the chapter that was waiting for you all along.
