Industrial Sewing Machine Advice Needed
Hey creative friends, I'm looking to purchase an industrial sewing machine. What are your recommendations? New or used? Do you have a favorite brand? What do I need to know?

I agree with @April Hoy s advice. Ive always owned industrials and have sewn a variety of things - wedding gowns, denim and currently curtains. My advice is to trial with the fabrics youre most likely to use most. Take some with you. Ive bought used from FB market place and reconditioned ones from specialist businesses. Consider the previous use of a machine. If youre wanting something for home dressmaking, youd likely avoid a machine thats sewn heavy canvas as it could be too rough. Its a bit hard to explain so I hope that makes sense. Other things to consider is motor noise, automatic cut off and the size/weight. (Theyre a bugger to move 🤦🏼‍♀️)
April Challenge
Happy April! Here's your challenge for this month: try something new this month. Learn a new stitch, use a new tool, learn a new technique, etc. what will you try this month that you haven't done before?

@Suzanne Bell Ive been thinking of doing this too! Have you got a pattern in mind? Whats the print on the comforter?

Excited to learn hand embroidery
I was excited to see that my leveling up opened the Hand Embroidery class videos. THANK YOU!!! I have been wanting to learn the basics for ONE reason. I am making English Paper Pieced hexagons for a quilt and I saw a picture of the pattern I want to use and it has hand embroidered vines and flowers. It’s definitely a “long haul” project but I am loving the slow and steady zen of it.

Ooh thats very cute!
Under the needle today.
I have decided that Wednesday will be machine quilting day. This is a double wedding ring that I pieced by English paper piecing.

Its lovely Janet. Is it for yourself or a gift? Ive not done much quilting but this is one Id like to try one day. Its looks like a good design for using scraps, which I have plenty of 😆
Embroidery Videos Available
I have three beginning embroidery videos available in the classroom. There are also some accompanying PDF files. I hope you like them! There will be more to come!
