Wednesdays session
Hi everyone. A fact you probably don’t know about me… I’m a UEFA B qualified football coach and spent a good spell of my life working at academy level in pro clubs like Leeds Utd and Bradford City, West Riding County FA. I would really love to watch the England Semi Final on Wednesday. I know most of you aren’t football fans so probably isn’t something you’re planning to watch. Would you mind if I slide the Belief coding session to next Wednesday? And share a replay with you for this week that you can watch if you’re looking to avoid football? Let me know below or by replying to the email if that’s ok?

@Michelle Porter That’s great, my nephew is an analitical expert and is taking steps to get him closer to the high league football clubs. 🥰
My goal for my future self
Lose 2 stone before I go cruising with my Children for two whole weeks. I cant wait and I will be the best version of myself in October.

Procrastination
Mine was about finance. My three actions were: 1 Checking all accounts - This meant getting access to everything - I updated my phone a few months ago and still have apps that I have not been able to access. 2 Settling up spreadsheets - getting them up to date with 2026 data 3 Checking accounts daily. 'Where focus goes that thing grows1' 💜💥💜💥💜💥💜💥💜💥💜💥💜💥💜💥💜💥💜💥💜💥💜💥💜💥💜💥💜💥💜💥💜 I have two business accounts, private accounts and credit card accounts along with pensions etc. I used to have a spreadsheet that I filled in often and it kept me upto date where I was. Things have changed so much since then, leaving my job to care for my daughter so my regular income is no longer a thing. I incurred debt and put my head in the sand - which I know helps nothing. I am currently working on building a couple of business's and I want them in financial order so I can register them properly for tax and the like. I have never done this before and if I am being honest I need session with a good accountant to understand more. It does scare me, but I don't know why because I will understand once told - however I am at 'we only know what we know, right' I do know how to create spreadsheets, pivot information, capture data etc. As such that is my first focus, get everything set up, look at it daily and keep accurate accounting details. I have been working on getting everything technically organised over the last couple of weeks, so I had already put in 30 mins in a morning to go through checking my bank accounts, however not once have I kept that appointment. I loved the session on Wednesday, It has really given me the drive to get things done. Today I feel like I have made massive improvements, MASSIVE. I now have access to all my apps therefore accounts. And yes I have had to ring a couple of call centres, 54 mins onto one company, however I did get access to two apps - YEEEAAAHHHH. This means I am able to do the daily checks. I had a spread sheet for personal, and one for each Business, I have decided to have a master sheet with everything on. Mainly because this gives me one source of the truth and should anything happen to me, its easier for my children to know what I have where - morbid, you could say that, but after last year (lost 3 family members) I want that horrible time to be as easy as possible for them.

I’ve nit been going that long and I e no idea when I’d be late 🫣😬. I do need to speak to an accountant relatively quickly. I am pleased with my progress so far thanks Lorraine. Just a few receipts to find for one business and that’s all organised too. Just one left to do.

Soz I did a separate post - essentially this is mine: My three actions were: 1 Checking all accounts ✅- This meant getting access to everything - I updated my phone a few months ago and still have apps that I have not been able to access. 2 Settling up spreadsheets ✅- getting them up to date with 2026 data ❌ 3 Checking accounts daily. 'Where focus goes that thing grows1'✅ 1st day done, today. I do have a lot of spreadsheet skills so really when broken down I dont have issues here. And as we only know what we know, tax and what can be put through as a business expense will all come with a discussion with a good accountant. I still have more to do, but I have broke its back today. A massive tick for me - pleased with my progress. I have been keen to get it done / started since our session on Wednesday. I am not stupid. I have far more skills than the people who have ridiculed me in the past. Thank you for helping me see that Michelle, everyone 🥰💜
Next weeks session
Hey everyone, I’m just looking at next weeks session and would like you vote below on which would be most beneficial to you. I’ll go with the majority of votes. 1. Procrastination 2. Being forgetful Let me know 1 or 2 ☺️ Much love Michelle

@Michelle Porter life, I make appointments and forget I have them. I’ve just got my calendar sorted so that will change. All my life I’ve told myself I’ve got a poor memory, so I’ve always had systems (ie folders in a structured way) so I can find information I may need so I don’t have to remember it. (Particularly at work) Dates when things have happened, I have a 5 years mortgage deal and I knew it was running out this year but had no clue when, but I knew I’d find it in my mortgage folder - and I did this morning, then put a reminder in my calendar to review it properly when I need to make some decisions. Tonight at work my mum kept coming to mind, she passed June, maybe (wow a year ago, just realised as I typed) and I can’t tell you the date it happened. Not good is it!!?? It makes me sad I can’t remember. And I should Beckie and I had just returned home from Geniva where she did a presentation of her PHD work at the volcanic conference. I found out the following mornings So a mix of things.

@Michelle Porter I’ll never be able to remember that I’ll put it somewhere safe. I don’t even read / look or try to digest the information these days cause I’ve said it for that long. My minds crap so I’ll put it somewhere safe (that means logical place that I know I’d look for it - filing cabinet or digital files, I use email categories too, adding many different ones in case my logic is thinking differently when I need it x
