Historical Echos of a Nations Natal Chart
I live in Mauritius, and Island associated with a picture postcard way of living and being. Having decided to relocate here in 2019 to work on a new technology energy project, with the full approvals from the state and its legal system. What I have learned since 2019 is the pieces of paper are worthless in a place where captured and entrenched systems control the entire landscape. Over the weekend, Mauritius once again entered a crisis and panic mode - after months, weeks of increasing costs and shortages, civil unrest came to the streets. Unfortunately, a young woman, who was being driven home from work, was shot by a police sergeant. The vehicle she was in was traveling through a hot area, an enraged police officer stopped the vehicle pointing a firearm at the head of the driver. What happened next is not fully known, but we do know is the police officer was arrested immediately, while the woman taken to hospital in critical condition, a bullet lodged next to her spine. Today, more than a dozen medical specialists arrived from India, to operate on the young woman, who is in ICU. What is interesting in all this is the historical records and who was in the seat of power, and whether cycles of the planets align with the events in synchronicity. Mauritius was born on 12th March 1968 under emergency rule - its first leader and majority government was Labour party. In the months leading to independence there was civil unrest, that resulted in military intervention and emergency rule. The natal chart paints that picture very well, that Pisces Virgo axis speaks loudly. Along with Saturn in Aries we set the scene! Then we move to 1999, where there was civil unrest yet again - this time over decriminalization of marijuana, that lead to the arrest of an activist. Unfortunately, he was killed in police custody, which brought about even more tensions. The response of the government, the same as the first time, physical force, violence and control. Saturn by this time had completed its first return, and was at the end of Aries. Government in power was coalition predominantly Labour again, and the leader the son of the leader from 1968!

@Louisa Munson People protesting that they have no running water in their homes was the trigger. Government response was put cops on the streets in riot gear!! We are all fine, and have access to what we need, but many others do not, and as an Island costs are just increasing beyond affordability for those who struggle. Let's hope the woman recovers, but more importantly a nation listens to those who are truly struggling. x x x

Taurus hmmm Sun/Mars conjunct early degree's, then North Node at the late degree's - second house. Determined, stubborn, strong, resilient, passionate, nature aware...will never give up, but have learned to let go, when its time! Have lived the high life and the low life, and really value deep and meaningful relationships.

Mercury opposes Chiron before entering mysterious Scorpio today, bringing questions about secrets, difficult conversations, painful feedback and the things we've been reluctant to reveal. But Wednesday is a day of two halves! As the Moon enters Gemini and makes supportive aspects to Mars, Neptune and Pluto, the atmosphere becomes more curious, communicative and productive. The see-saw is a great analogy! I like to refer to oppositions as a point where things can come together in unison, like an alchemical recipe or opportunity, to bring things together in balance, like the see-saw :)

The Decision Has Been Made… Now What? | Astrology Forecast for the Week Ahead 27 Sept–3 Oct
The pressure is still building this week as Mercury and Mars move from cardinal into fixed signs, shifting the emphasis from initiating change to holding, building and following through on what we've already begun. Mercury and Mars are both deeply involved with Chiron and Pluto, while some beautiful trines to the North Node and Neptune offer another way through the intensity. Then on Saturday, Venus stations retrograde in Scorpio — returning to territory she last travelled in 2018 — while Mars opposes Pluto, asking a powerful question: what are you no longer prepared to force?
