How much is too much??!
Guys the snow here is unreal… All our fences are under snow, All of our roof tops have been plowed twice, This picture is from a clients place because we can’t even see our livestock at our house🥴 I think all in all we have 6+ feet of snow everywhere on property… Whats new with you guys?!! Wish me luck🥹👍🇨🇦

Wow 😮 We’ve lost a lot of our snow. Fields are almost bare. Now it’s icy and mushy. Hope you see some thawing soon🤞🏻🥰

I spoke too soon. We’re supposed to get 3-5” tomorrow evening. Hopefully it misses us or melts fast!!! I guess it’s better than 3-5 feet. 🤣
An enlightened session.
Yesterday, I started out, by being mindfull and practiced boundary as kindness. I have a youngster (2 1/2 yo), that I’m working on, having her head lower than her withers, head slightly bent, to the inside, and leading. She can be quite reactive at times, and, has been for me, with this exercise. I brought her into the work area, and just stood with her, for a moment, asking her to respectfully, be there with me, while I did some breathing and grounding. We proceeded to the exercise. I asked for her cooperation, instead of demanding it. I still felt very much in control and she definitely responded. It was the most productive session we’ve had yet. For 10 minutes of work, there was plenty of, shaking it out, and some good licking and chewing. I spent a few minutes afterwards, standing with her, asking her to not fuss with me, and after a moment, stood nicely with me and she fully relaxed. Thank you @Shana Veilleux , for teaching me this exercise, and I am appreciative for this forum. Hopefully, I can remember, to make being present, part of any time, I spend with my herd. Being present in your horses presence, is one of my favourite phrases, but unfortunately, it’s not always the easiest to remember. I think I’ll try and make that a sign, in my barn ☺️
I cannot wait for winter!
A very unpopular opinion but…. HEAR ME OUT!! The Skool will expand even more- More darkness=more time inside! I’m also way better for filming during the cold weather, in general: we just have more time! What are you guy’s schedules like in this winterizing time?? Mine is CRAZY!!! Until winter hits; enjoy a picture of two of our pretty Rocky girls- Strawberry and Lilly🫶🏻 And don’t forget to book your dentals and bodyworks while we’re at it!! 😉👍🏻
