Oil galley plug
I accidentally stumbled across Rob’s video on oil galley plugs. The video where apparently someone had multiple plugs in. Anyways I popped the rear plug out before installing my engine and ran a borescope and was wondering if this plug (the one behind the timing cover) is in too deep? I think it’s bottomed out against the lip. Sorry about picture quality got distorted when transferring to my phone

@Robert Winkworth I will absolutely do this. I used blue loctite originally. I’ll use red this time

@Robert Winkworth pulled the cover and got a picture from the outside. Going to be redoing it. Luckily I live close to a Cummins warehouse and sales/service center and got the plugs today. I also just installed the cover a few days ago. Seal is undamaged and is still basically brand new. Do you think I can reuse it as long as I use the plastic sleeve. Forgot to grab a seal while at cummins lol
12v rod orientation in cr block
Good evening everyone. I’m putting together a 5.9 cr using shot peened and balanced 12v rods. What is the correct orientation for the rods? Should I Go off of the block or the rods? My p-pump 6.7 I put together about 10yrs ago has 12v rods in it but I for the life of me cannot remember which way I put them in.
