Let me tell you why I made this
After reading the poll results of a survey I sent to everyone in my list, I found out that many claim that they can follow a tutorial start to finish, but cannot finish a project on their own. I know SCP members can do that but I still would like to get your opinion on this vdieo if you don’t mind. Also I would appreciate your likes and Hypes (new button) on that video🙏

I find, in my own designing tasks, that I can whip out part designs. The course material introduced me to more of the multi-body part capabilities I was unaware of. I still have issues from time to time when accurately reverse engineering parts to include them into assemblies. Being unable to get proper measurements from a part has been my biggest stumbling block. Most of the time, when measurements are being difficult, I try to take measurements relative to other features that I have collected correctly, then triangulate the new feature's location. When there are discrepancies in the result, I either take more measurements from other features and average out the final value.
How to start
Hi all, I can't access the beginner section videos, so is that paid or I am doing something wrong?

Unfortunately, those two videos have not been functional for several months now.

@Aryan Fallahi I just checked and those two videos in question are working again. Thanks. Those were among the first video I viewed when I began and all of the videos worked for me at that time. I had already viewed those in the order presented. I was only checking on them to see if the problem the other members were mentioning was isolated or not. Thanks for fixing them, a lot of members were affected and will be happy to see them.
Deleting this community soon!
I am considering to stop and delete this community because I don't know what to do with it and I don't have the capacity to spend time here. My other forum with SCP students is taking most of my time. If you think you can help me keep this alive, let me know. Otherwise, I'll try to do that before June.

@Abdullah Masood Hi Abdullah. I have the SCP course, materials only version, and the same videos here are in the SCP as well. The people aren't there though unless you get a full version. Then the community would consist of the course members, some of which are also here as well.

@Aryan Fallahi hi Aryan. What would the volunteers be responsible for. Is it true that Skool charges a monthly fee to keep a community running on their platform? I understand how a fee for this community would be an unnecessary burden, if it no longer produces leads for the SCP. If it must be canceled, I understand and I want to thank you for what you and this community has provided during its existence. Taking the time to present the entry level portions of your main SCP product gave many Solidworks users the chance to experience your style of explanation and tutoring, before taking the plunge for the full course at whichever level they might have chosen. I know, myself, that the original cost was too much for my financial status, being on fixed retirement income benefits. It wasn't until you offered the curriculum-only version that the cost wasn't out of my reach. It even took a friend's help to make the deadline for that offer. I appreciate that offer very much and I'm glad I did take advantage of it, even though I know I have not been online to the course very steadily over the last few weeks. That has been due to my being bed-ridden with a back injury. It simply hurt too badly to sit at the computer for more than a couple of minutes or so at a time. I'm feeling much better at the time I am typing this, even though the back is still tender and easy to re-injure. Thanks again for everything you've created and done.
Classroom Video Issue
Hello All, I am not able to see any of the Beginner Section Videos other than the "WATCH THIS FIRST" video. When I click on a video, it disappears, as shown in the attached image. Any help resolving this would be much appreciated. Thanks!

@Stetson Alton I don't think it is a browser issue, as all of the mentioned browsers react the same way.

@Stetson Alton I just now tried those videos on my phone, and the don't work there either.
Flatten or Unfold?
What is the difference between "Flatten" and "Unfold"? What are the applications, goal and results?

@Eric Nadeau , you're correct there. The **Flatten** and **Unfold** features serve different purposes: 1. **Flatten**: This feature creates a flat pattern of the entire sheet metal part. It's typically used to prepare the part for manufacturing, such as laser cutting or CNC machining. Flatten considers all bends and unfolds them simultaneously, showing the part in its fully flattened state. 2. **Unfold**: This feature is more specific and is used during the design process. It allows you to unfold selected bends while keeping others intact. This is useful when you need to add features (like holes or cuts) to a specific area of the part while it's in a flat state. After making the modifications, you can use the **Fold** feature to return the part to its bent state. In short, **Flatten** is for creating a complete flat pattern for manufacturing, while **Unfold** is for making localized design changes during the modeling process.

I am a Solidworks hobbyist that likes 3d printing, CNC machining, laser cutting and engraving. If my hobbies need it, I use technology to achieve it.
